  jehovah`s witnesses make a big deal about the 2 or 3 witnesses in judicial decisions yet they ignore that evidence when it suits them.. firstly :.

  regarding the length of a generation matthew ch.1:17 gives a strong clue ,their are 3 lots of 14 generations mentioned which equal 42 generations from the time of abraham to jesus .. watchtower publications give abrahams birth as 2018 bc......they also give jesus birth as of 2 bc a period of 2016 years .

  Using the name Jehovah when praying

  i know of number of jws who believe that if anyone doesn't address god as jehovah when praying that the prayer really goes to satan... especially if you pray to someone else (jesus, for example).. i haven't been able to find that specific teaching in wt literature.

  they do say that we are to pray only to jehovah, but i haven't been able to locate a publication that says the prayer really goes to satan if you don't.. is there such a reference?.

  Are these the same scriptures that cant even agree on the names of the apostles, or when he died, and countless other contradictions.

  Are these the same scriptures where Jesus is never mentioned by name or title for the first 1000 years or 3/4 of the text in the OT ?

  And then we have scroptures from Paul where Jesus is not a man but a heavenly figure. In Romans 8 Paul says that Jesus would not even be a priest on earth.

  Show me one scripture from Paul where he demonstrates he knows jesus the man and not some god like figure. He never mentions bethlehem, mary, joseph and only speaks of meeting James and Cephas. Strange he calls him Cepahs even though he was supposed to have a new name.

  Many muslims have diead for Mohammad and Allah that doesnt make them true. We dont actually know how Paul died. The only tradition is from the Catholics and we know they make stuff up all the time, aka St George and the Dragon. Even in WW2, hundreds of thousands of Japanese died for their own god emperor, and we all know hes just a man not a god.

  Jesus loved Pharisees, tax collectors, prostitutes, disabled people, children. His apostles thought he was crazy.

  They thought he was crazy because his apostles are proxies for the rebellious leaders of Judea. All the apostles share names and nicknames that match. John and his brother, the brothers of thunder (aka Macabeans), judas iscariot = sicarri, simon and john leaders of the two main rebellious groups against rome. check for yourself.

  Jesus is a character meant to convince the jews that there is no messiah to free them, and they should pay their taxes, be slaves and shut up. Jesus only never condemns Rome and he only says things helpful and beneficial to the invaders.

  That story is accepted by (nearly) all scholars to be an insertion. It is not found in the oldest copies. Even the NWT admits this in fine print it says the same.

  You cant use that text as proof for or against Jseus because it is not genuiine.

  MP: Tammy, is it not extremely bad form to not share the greatest message with non jews ? Isnt this the same kind of behaviour we expect of terrible men like nazis or the kkk ? If any kid in kindergarten repeated the same behaviuor as Jesus and apostles what would you say ?

  Isa is like everybody else back in those days talking about the planets and stars as individuals or gods. LUcifer means Venus in Latin, look it up. Its dishonest to use a Latin name in a translation of a Hebrew text into English. Jehovah and jesus are the Sun. Venus is the false sun,w hich appears before the Sun comes up and after it goes down.

  i was researching the history of the jews and in wikipedia it is said that in origin the jews were polytheists by default and became monotheist in a later period of time.

  Interestingly Joshua son of Nun also has a pagan background. Nun was a greek god from Heliopolis, which is where Joseph spent his time in Egypt and also married the daughter of the high priest. Strange for a son of Jacob to marry a pagan priests daughter. Given Jehovah the name was unknown until Moses started his visits to Pharoah, Joshua could not have been his real name. This means the Jo component signifiying Jehovah must be a redaction of some sort. This leads to another question, in this theophoric name. Shua was the male partner of Nun the water godess.

  Interstingly one of the gospels also claims that Jesus (who is really called joshua in hebrew) came out of egypt. There are lots of fish and water imagery in jesus life and ministry. even today xians acknowledge this with their fish stickers.
