I think I once heard that a solution to this problem is by adopting the idea of semi-evolution. If Noah for instance had one pair of "cats", they would become all the cat species we have today. Laughable theory though!

More June 12 Awake! goodness...
by undercover inso... according to the wts, adam was created a little over 6,000 years ago.
after being created he was given the task of naming all the animals.
then eve was created, a talking snake got them to eat some fruit and the rest is history.... anyway.... how long did it take adam to name all the animals before the fairer sex was brought to him, undoubtedly distracting him from the heavenly chore set before him?.

As I am not an american I can confirm that "the rest of the world" is hoping for an Obama re-election!
Americans that can't even point out Europe on a map over Europe shouldn't be in charge of the "world police"
Why are democrats so much better at foreign relations? hmm

The Bible and Genetics
by sabastious ini recently read in discover magazine that scientists have found a way to turn on and off memory cells in our brain.
they say that this is good news for people with post traumatic stress disorder, which i was diagnosed with a few years ago.
this, to me, brings up the ethical question of what did the traumatic events in my life, and the lives of others, add to society as a whole?

Thank you all for very interesting reading! To me, it seems like the bible can be seen as a mirror where people will se different images depending on how they are thinking. I my opinion the flaw is that different religious ideologies can force others to look in this mirror in a spesific way, by telling them what to look for. I personally think that the WTS exploits this and is very repetative about what you see in the mirror, and of course if you say that you see something different you are shunned for it.

What is "PRESENT" truth? Who understands the Greek ?
by hamsterbait ini dont know greek, but cant help wondering what the word "present" in that phrase means.. the borg uses it to mean "what we tell you at this time is true".. i wonder if it means present in the sense of somebody you know being present in the room with you.. "the truth present in our lives" "the truth that is here with us".. just wondering..... hb.

Sorry, I don't know. One of the big problems with translating old texts is that some words have many different meanings in different contexts. Here in Norway some words even have a completely different meaning depending on how you pronounce them. Talk about being harsh on immigrants trying to learn the language :p

I wouldn't mind season 3 starting right about now. For some morbid reason unknown to me, I would like to try and survive in a world filled with zombies, as long as I could have a button to push and go back to the normal world. Imagine how exciting and terrifying it would be. Would push life into the most primal phase of surviving one day at a time. Perhaps my life is too boring :/

Everlasting life on a paradise earth? Unlikely!
by yalbmert99 inthe watchtower of january 1st, 2010 p. 22-23 pretends that "all who respond favorably to gods warning and bring their life into harmony with his righteous principles (meaning jehovah's witnesses) will be granted salvation and enjoy everlasting life on a paradise earth.".
but is it true?.
astrophysicists say that like other stars of its type, our sun will become a planet-engulfing red giant.

Many years ago when I asked my zealous grand mother, she told me that Jehovah is upholding the laws of nature, and can control them easily enough to sustain earth for an eternity. Wether this was her answer, or something she learned from WT I don't know. She's a smart woman, just to bad that the WTS has kept her in the dark her entire life. She once rethorically asked: "If humans evolved from apes, then why are there still apes?"
