The witlesses are anti-anything that disagrees with their own doctrines.
They're anti-everything except Watchtower doctrines.
i meandered over to wt.org just to see what it was like.
they have an article about jws' courageous challenge to hitler.
strangely, the vast internet does not give them enough space to quote rutherford's letter to hitler in full.

does anyone know if the watchtower or individual elders have been successfully sued for defamation follwing a disfellowshipping.
i know some have tried to sue for shunning, and their case had no legal basis.. what is the current platform announcment for a df or da?.
what about court action to recover past donations?.
Just read the Moyle letter to Rutherford. It really puts perspective on exactly what type of a man Rutherford was.

i was considered "exemplary" but i defintely liked my drinking with my other fellow examples.. porn was never a terrible thing to me.
i looked.. throwing in a few extra hours and placements worked pretty well for me too..
While I was going to school mum would never let me go to worldly school friends' places because they would have been a "bad influence". But she let me stay over at JW friend's houses.
So mum dropped me over at James' place to stay for a few days. I always saw James at the meeting with his parents, seemed like an OK friend and they seemed like a perfect JW family to my mum.
When I got to his house I was in for a big supprise. He was drinking, listenting to heavy metal, stealing condoms from his dad's room (so he could sneak out at night to see a girl down the road), and smoking pot. Keep in mind he was 14 years old JW boy. At night he'd sneak out to do graffiti.
Later that year we went to the assembly, he met a couple of girls from his previous congregation. After they left, he told me he'd slept with both of them (at different times).
When he grew up (in his 20s) he became the local drug dealer. His older brother took me to nightclubs. One time he visited an elder's daughter on the way home (at 2pm). She was about 17, he was 22, she lived in a room detached from the main house, he stayed for about 40mins, I was his lookout incase the elder woke up.
I would have been better off visiting worldly friend's.
drop its teaching on paradise earth.. the primary issue facing the watchtower results from it's teaching that members will never die, but live forever on this earth in paradise.
this teaching is cause of most of the doctrinal failures, and will be its eventual demise.. the promise of never dying is one of the foremost motivations for people that join the religion, and the message of living forever in paradise is compelling.
however, it is also the watchtower's achilles heel, as it forces false predictions of the nearness of the end.
Maybe the Watchtower could offer Armageddon Insurance. If Armageddon doesn't come before a specific year, the policy pays out.

You've just fulfilled a prophesy.
Do you know why they are called the last days?....because they last....and last....and last
3. Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 4. They will say, "What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created." - 2 Peter 3:3-4

jehovahs witnesses and mental health.
today i added a new article to my blog addressing jehovahs witnesses and mental health.
documented sources inside and outside watchtower express the same thing.
Some people just can't handle "the truth".
i've just uploaded the third article in my four-part "under the microscope" series - looking at the society's claims to be god's sole channel with mankind.

Maybe that's why the 1914 generation prophesy failed, so they could be given more time to give a witness in those countries.

First things first, they need to drop the 1914 date, and other dates stemming from that (i.e. 1919). Then renounce the understanding they are Gods only "Spirit Directed" channel.
I really don't think the Watchtower would lose any members over this, considering some of the doctrines members have endured so far.
