nature red in tooth and claw.
if jehovah is the creator of all, he made some very vicious, nasty stuff.

I get so tired of people complaining about everything President Obama says or does
by booker-t infor the past 4 1/2 years i have heard everything said about president obama and now the lastest "obama being the anti-christ" just have me laughing my head off.
where do people get nonsense like this?
do they just sit around the kitchen table and say "what are we going to say next about obama and michelle?

Praising Obama is like praising the captian of the Titanic, while it was sinking!

Good to see Zimmerman got off. He was defending himself.
Pitty more attention isn't paid to the 1000s of black deaths caused by other blacks.

Pyramid - Common Knowledge?
by NeverKnew ini was telling my extended family (also non-jws) about the pyramid near russell's grave i saw months ago.
i showed them pictures of the four sides and the interesting inscriptions along with the pictures of the founder's grave.. there are a couple of jw women who come to see my cousin every once in a while.
last week, she mentioned the pyramid.

I understand what you're saying, but respectfully, I disagree. My child has her own life but was born of my womb. Without me, she wouldn't exist.
Without Seventh-day Adventists the International Bible Students possibly woudln't have existed either. And without the Bible neither would have existed ... you get the idea.
My original point was there was a split early on, the IBSA went one way, and the "Jehovah's Witnesses" went another. Just like there was a split between CTR and Nelson Barbor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Taze_Russell#Split_with_Barbour).
Showing a current day Jehovah's Witness the Pyramid stuff would be like showing them Seventh-day Adventist documents from the late 1800s. They both mean nothing, and you'll probably get a blank stare and denial.
In my opinion you'd be better off focusing on modern day Watchtower blunders, or doctrine that links to that era (i.e. pyramid lengths 'proving' the year 1914).

Technically it doesn't have anything to do with "Jehovah's Witnesses". It's the work of the International Bible Students Association (ISBA) see: http://www.internationalbiblestudents.com
The International Bible Students Association still exist to this very day. They are active and hold conventions ... etc.
Here's an article examining why the IBSA are not Jehovah's Witnesses (and vice versa): http://www.friendsofjehovahswitnesses.com/2011/09/01/bible-students-are-not-jehovahs-witnesses/

I suffered sleep paralysis, which in my superstitious JW mindset I intrepreted as a demon attack.
Yep, me too. When I was about 14 years old. Your mind is awake, but you body won't respond. Very scary stuff.
I was convinced it was a demon attack, so I went to all the meetings ... etc.

He said, "Millions alive will never FLY." And it was an absolutely true prophecy that came to pass in his day. Millions back then never did fly, so don't blame it on Jehovah!
You just made me spit coffee everywhere.

Here's some high tech things you could do:
- Create a WIFI hotspot named "Kingdom Hall - Free WiFi". Configure it to only serve JWfacts.com web pages.
- Encode various JW websites into QR-Codes and drop them in the donation box.
- Find out the FM frequency of the microphones and broadcast pre-recorded answers just before the person answering starts to speak.

How are they getting there payoff from all this money?
Ahh the old 'Cui bono' argument. I've heard it many time from JW's. In fact many of use it as proof that the Watchtower is God's earthly organisation.
That same argument could be applied to many organisations. Even terrorist organisations!
While not directly accessing Watchtower funds the GB have cocooned themselves in an environment that suits their needs, and provides a secure lifestyle for them. They also have a certian amout of power, and possibly servants within their headquarters. They also have the warm fuzzy feeling that everything they do has God's blessing.
