Have you abandoned the hope of everlasting life?
by Fisherman indo you still believe or nurture in your heart "living forever in a paradise earth" and even never having to die in "this old system"?
or do you now belive in life after death as a spirit being in heaven?
or have you abandoned the hope of everlasting life?

I believe in death after life.
You can only die one day at a time.
Eat drink and be merry for tomorrow you could be alive and have to do it all over again.

One more thought..
Only one thing worse than the old religious nonsense.
NEW religious nonsense.
However, Terry, I think you are too idealistic. You actually believe some of your musings.

Religion will continue until it extinguishes itself. It appears that could take some time judging by the comments in this thread.

Who Will Be The Next President Of The USA?

I think it will be a one term Republican president. Democrats don't do as well as Republicans in expressing a coherent idea for the nation. Democrats usually do better in regional elections. Maybe a Reagan republican like Gingrich.
The current batch of democrats gave the president the green light in Iraq. They are hypocrites. They were looking out for their own necks. The American public will not overlook that fact.
Moderate republicans are pushing the party back toward the center. By the end of 2007 almost all the troops will be back in the US. Republicans don't want to get into another election where the Democrats can ridicule them. Republicans also aren't going to allow the democrats to look like rescuers.
Bush will get over his stubborn streak and start working on his legacy. He needs to pull off the biggest turn around in presidential history in order to redeem his reputation. The "brass ring" is a comprehensive peace deal with Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia. Iraq will become a confederacy of 3 nations with UN peace keepers made up of Syrians, Turks, and Iranians.
Bush will want to be the president that brings peace to Israel.
Christmas next year will see peace in Israel. If Bush doesn't accomplish that he will absolutely go down as the worst president since Grant.

Neither smoking or over eating are defilements of the flesh.
"Are you not aware that NOTHING from OUTSIDE that passes into a man can defile him, since it passes, not into his heart, but into his intestines and it passes out into the sewer."
Mark 7:18,19

by Dogpatch inhttp://www.osce.org/odihr/16533.html.

Mary:
Jesus represented something different from the killing that went on in the Hebrew Scriptures. This is very basic to understanding the change that Christ brought about. No longer eye for an eye. If your enemy strikes you on the cheek you turn the other cheek. You conquer evil with good. The world still has not learned the basic remedy for war and hate.
Christ wouldn't fight in any earthly wars.

I watched this campaign piece and didn't learn one single thing about global warming that I didn't know from reading scientific articles and watching Nova type programs. I would rather have seen Gore as president (minus Lieberman) than Bush. I am unhappy with the place both the Clinton and Bush administration has gotten us. The Nixon administration was probably better than any for earth friendly programs. Read Read Read. How dumb do we have to be to have a condescending arrogant politician tell us the "truth". The movie was like watching the Robots commenting on science fiction theater. Watch Al Gore as he contemplates the sorry state of affairs. Watch an Al Gore approved "idiot" cartoon that will explain to you how global warming works. Watch various head shots of Gore ad nauseum.... Oh well. If it works fine.
