A Victory Song. Was a very intense song that we rarely sang. The new songbook ruined it

Any born-ins have this attitude about converts?
by Nambo inso there was this great gang of us, from south london, manchester and wolverhampton, went to socialise with a group in fishguard in wales.. amongst the conversations one of the single sisters stated, "i could never marry anybody who used to be in the world".. i guess a lifetime of knocking on doors had given her the impression there couldnt possibly be a convert in her midst, never mind later alone with her in her mgb.. so whats with this, did you think we had rat scabies or were possesed by demons or something?.

I remember my first bf was 24 and I was 18. He was my "unofficial" bf because we started liking each other while he was studying so as the PO's daughter, I was supposed to wait a year after his baptism to make sure he was doing it for the right reasons and not for me. We didn't wait the year to date but I have to say I was kind of thrilled that he had experience in the event we did get married. We didn't get married...I ended up with another born-in but I personally thought it would have been a great wedding night instead of the 3 days I waited to actually lose my virginity as a married woman 3 yrs later.

Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs
by Lady Lee inthw wts likes to play games with their statistics.
one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

I can think of 5 off the top of my head 2- MS's with severe depression. One hanged himself because he couldn't find a wife. The other hanged himself in the barn where his son found him. 1- active witness with bi-polar disorder 1- just d'fed for spousal abuse and jumped off a bridge 1- young sister OD'd (don't know why) she was in my pioneer class Then there were 2 young brothers, one of which I was extremely close to who died over the blood issue

I have to say that I think a majority were just looking to hook up or have a fling. I have found that many of the men I am encountering are unemployed or staying with a friend or family till they get back on their feet. I have my own home and not looking for a moocher that's for sure. There must be a few hiding there but I signed off last month never to return.

Mamochan13- you are so right. I have been mentally out for a couple of years and not attended a meeting in one year. I thought I was doing really well. Happy with myself and everything. Apparently not. Looks like I'm going back into therapy *sigh*
