  What Does Being Spiritual Mean To You?

  1. being in tune with the goodness within and treating people how you would like to be treated.

  2. being in tune with nature and appreciating the beauty and complexity of the universe.

  Great question. I believe it's all about connection and growth.

  I'm reading a great book at the mo called "The Road Less Travelled" by Scott Peck.

  He makes no distinction between spiritual growth and mental growth.

  It's an exploration of love and spirituality. Great read.

  I started googling anonymous quotes (Ex. "One noted bible researcher stated:...") I found often the quote would be attrib'd to a preacher of CHRISTENDOM!!! That really chapped my hide. They purposfully didnt give refs on those quotes. But google knew who they were! :D

  This is something I've only recently started doing. Googling quotes.

  I said in another thread that they are just "one click away from the truth"

  The thing is i probably viewed a thousand hours of porn online (literally) before I even entertained the thought about possibly viewing a site that might possibly even think about suggesting that the WTS could maybe be mistaken.................

  I bet that is true of virtually every male JW.

  The porn which the WT correctly highlights as damaging and addictive they all manage to overide their consciences and watch but "apostate stuff" they will avoid like the plague because "mother says so"

  Transformers Movie !

  we just went to see the transformers movie at the cinema (see http://www.transformersmovie.com/).

  this is an awesome film !!.

  way better than the latest sci-fi / adventure flicks (spiderman 3, fantastic 4 - rise of the silver surfer).

  Glimmer of hope for my father?

  first let me say - my father is a top bloke and always has been a down to earth kind of guy.

  i am df'd but he treats me and my "worldly" wife like nothing has happened regarding the truth.

  he was himself an elder once and also df'd once.

  just came back home from visiting some south pacific islands.

  you know how it is - balmy winds blew through the palm trees, soft white sandy beaches, azure seas.

  then there were the natives - men with faces painted, spears in hand reminding us that it was only a generation ago that they were cannibals.. and they wore.....well, not much!.
