I heard it said that you only have one "birth" day and each successive year is just an anniversary of that event. Therefore it is an anniversary and there is no restriction on this terminology . So on your next birthday, just announce you are celebrating your anniversary and all will be fine.(sarcasm inserted here)

Conversation with my Dad today concerning the Leah Remini show
by joe134cd injoe : i don’t quite know how to tell you this dad.
dad : what daughter .
joe : dont get mad or offensive, but there was a documentary that aired a few nights ago on prime time tv in the usa concerning the jws, and there was some very nasty stuff mentioned, and it certainly wasn’t positive toward the organisation.

Why Do JW Speakers and GB Members Sound So Robotic?
by minimus ineveryone sounds like they came out of stepford wives.
.
is this supposed to be the way witnesses are to speak?

anything that they do that is the exact opposite of mainstream religious orders where most of them yell, scream, and cry on stage to get your attention(and money). JW,s want to appear to be in control and matter of fact that they really do have the truth. At least they want to give the impression of calm and reason when compared to Christendom,s preachers like Swaggart and Billy Graham who almost had you in tears by the time they are at the conclusion of their sermon.

Mentally diseased ANOINTED!
by Normalfulla inmy aunt is a super uber jw, albeit a little more delusional than the standard issue jw.
she has 4 kids all who are out and never baptised, she's a widow now and sold the family home and has bought a new place and has plenty of cash in the bank.
my cousins are all very concerned because their mum has a new friend whos "anointed" and says jehovah has spoken to her and she will survive armageddon and so will her kids if she sticks close.. she has been paying out for holidays and vehicle repairs for this anointed sister and her extended family and my cousins are alarmed at whats going on and can see the situation for what it is.

I was wondering if notifing the elder opened his eyes that he would get in line for a few "free nuts" for himself.

Can you ever see a time when Govt`s of this world will attempt to abolish all religions ?
by smiddy3 inwe are now in the 21st century of our common era with its insights into the potential of what can be achieved in the near future to benefit mankind for years to come .. the co-operation of governments around the world on so many levels has never been better than it is today and it is at least encouraging to see this .. whether it has to do with the climate , the environment ,food production ,safe water for all ,and the better health for all in the near future, and in the future space exploration.
however the problem today is still religion !
in its many extreme forms that divides us in no ways that politics divide us .. politicians learn how to compromise and work with their opponents for the greater good ,whereas religions don`t.. religions divide humans like no politicians ever did well not to the extremes religions will go anyway.. is their going to come a time in history when governments politicians say enough is enough and try attempt to abolish religion ?.

Governments abolishing religions would be like them getting together to abolish hurricanes. They can put it on paper, but in reality it would not happen. The masses need their religious drug.

Noah 'warning the people'
by KW13 inam i imagining this?at the kingdom hall we were told many times that noah warned the others about the coming flood and was ridiculed but actually there is no evidence of this in the bible!there is however evidence to the contrary.
matthew 24:37-39.
37 as it was in the days of noah, so it will be at the coming of the son of man.

Noah,s story would be a great place to insert the word "overlapping" into their translation to give it legimatcy. Say, "As the ark was being tossed about by the waves, there was concern of too much water overlapping the rail of the ark"

How many Witnesses would drink the cool aid at a "Jonestown?"
by Witness 007 inso my mum died from mild form of lukemia which can simply be treated with a blood transfusion each month.
to me this was a watchtower assisted suicide.
the liaison elder encouraged her to "stay strong" and said a prayer.

I don't think they would hand out a pill in the current environment because it would kill their golden goose with no more donations coming in. It could come about if they are overwhelmed with pressure to pay more and more lawsuits and the GB truly sees the end (theirs).

Police said Paul -- who also goes by the name Francis P. Lipani III -- "showed up at (the woman's) door one day with a Bible in his hand" and befriended her. In an interview with police, the woman said she "liked him and was comfortable around him" and signed some papers he provided so they could "go into the lawn business together."
Subpoenaed documents from several banks -- Paul used at least seven, investigators said -- showed the beneficiary on many of Paul's accounts was the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, an organization of Jehovah's Witnesses. -

Did you enjoy your visit to Bethel?
by Addison0998 ini recently had to take a trip with my family to bethel.
it was a bit torturous for a secret apostate as you can imagine.
but mostly just so boring.

And when someone gets back home they hold a "gathering" to show pictures of their worshiping Bethel. Almost like they went to the promised land. Just more proof it is a CULT.
