Great advice, "don't tell them anything, ask them everything". Aloha

Hello
by Hendrixgrip inhi, this is my long overdue introduction.
i’ve been visiting this site since probably around 2011. in that time, i’ve taken a lot from these discussions and never contributed anything.
i’m not sure that i have much to contribute these days because i just don’t pay too much attention to wt land.

New witness a bit lost

im sorry if i'm wrong but i'm just trying to find my way and meet people that could help me become a good witness.
i recently discovered my faith as a witness.

By now P L has probably told his "Book" study buddy about this great new site he has found that discusses freely all about the witnesses and has had his first stern lesson from above to stay away from critical thinking by discussing the witnesses with outsiders. If he has any critical thinking in his conscience, he might be back to read more, but if he wants to be continued to be love bombed, he has deleted this site from his browser, and has become just another troll.

26 Years Later
by Victor ini'm one of earliest adopters of the internet in discovering the real history of the watchtower.
back then it was the wild wild west with newsgroups being the primary sources of information.
then came watchtower observer, freeminds, and all the other sites that followed jwd was one of the later sites.

In 1980, I went to the Baptist Book Store and bought a book by William J Schneil, "30 years a watchtower slave" and from then on I knew they were running the biggest scam on uneducated people, close to what Jimmy Swaggert was up to against the baptist. When the internet came about in the late 80,s ( had a 1100 bit rate modem that was state of the art then) I could see the potential then. In 1993 when I got my 56K modem it started to expand exponentially and the knowledge of ttatt could not be stopped. In 1997 I was the first to order DSL and got a circuit from UUnet that was equal to what the banks used then. Now we all have that tech ability and it is all thanks to freedom. Freedom of religion and freedom from religion, and never take it for granted.

I would surmise that where they found the dead sea scrolls, they also found an ancient HD video recording on a blu-ray dvd disc recorded magically with jesus saying Yahweh this and Yahweh that, the gang in New York would still hold onto Jehovah. They would say it was planted by apostates.

Reminded me of how the Church of Christ also manipulates children to get obedience to their organization. Sad the way some religions abuse their little ones to get them hooked to their brand of "worship".

Not to be outdone, Billy Graham in 1957. Interesting at 2:45 was an introduction by none other than Richard Nixon.

So I'm Wondering.
by jonahstourguide inby the way, happy new year to all.. so, i'm wondering, if all the current global population converted to jwism what would happen to the approximately 300,000 births and 150,000 daily deaths?.
and, where are the 'false gods' today and where is yahweh nowadays?.
just my mind wanderings.. oh, and if the governing body has the global solution, why aren't they preaching to world leaders directly?

JWs celebrating New Year's?
by neat blue dog inthere are a few active jws i know (separate, in different areas) who basically celebrate new years, having a party to watch the ball drop, posting about it on social media, one even saying literally "happy new year" .
but most other jws seem to not want to point out the elephant in the room.
has anybody else seen this, or ever seen it turn judicial?

Unbelievable
by ZindagiNaMilegiDobaara injust received this on a very excited note from someone who is pimi.this is how some people start their year 2019.. very happy to say that the year 2019 marks for us 100 years out of darkness from babylon the great!.
additionally, it marks the 105th year of christ's rule in heaven (1914 a.d.), 2,021st year since jesus was born on earth (2 b.c.e.
), 4,391st year since the deluge (2370 b.c.e.

If you take 20 out of 2019 and subtract the 19 from 20 you get 1. Which represents one more failed interpretation to fall this year!
