From my schooling in accounting 40+ yrs ago, i remember book value was the value paid for an asset at acquisition . It doesn't represent the current value but may just be a "close enough" amount to make an educated estimate of their current assets. As a side bar, quite a few KH,s are built outside of towns and as such are not worth as much as they claim simply because no business would buy them, being so far away "from the action" Just visit www.loopnet.com and search Kingdom Halls and you will see some Halls for sale in the boonies, which are harder to sell, if they can at all. Maybe they could donate them to the VFW since they seem to always be on the outskirts of town and would be so fitting to see this come about, a perfect spot for drinking.

this doesn't include the pensylvania corp or what overseas branches may have.. pretty healthy bank balance by any standards..

Good point I M. I wonder that they went to the trouble of rewriting the bible to match what they think is correct, that they haven't thought of rewriting their calendar also. Maybe call sunday meeting day and saturday field service day.

Faders Needing a Great One Liner

we changed congregations as regular attenders and left in good standing with those giving hugs and kisses simply knowing we "needed a change".
we moved to a neighboring congregation that is out of our original region knowing we would see no one and the two boe's wouldn't really have immediate dealings.

Say you can't tolerate organizations that are run by men only such as the muslims, catholics, and the like, and you are waiting for the governing body to appoint a woman, since they do allow them to declare themselves anointed. Ask them what is their opinion of women becoming in charge and would it make any organization run better.

If Angels in the Bible are of neuter gender ? Then why are they always depicted as males by description and name ? And never a female ?
by smiddy3 inin all of the art i`ve seen in christendom, angels always have the form of a male, and in the bible those that are named always have a male name such as michael ,gabriel , etc, .
nowhere in the art world that i have seen do angels have the female form, and in the bible they don`t have female names.. so if the angels are neither male or female why then are they depicted as males with male names ?and not female also ?.
the watchtower illustrators also follow this line .when they illustrate an angel it is always in the form of a male and never a female form.. the anointed who make up the 144000 comprise of male and females right ?

I heard it said that you only have one "birth" day and each successive year is just an anniversary of that event. Therefore it is an anniversary and there is no restriction on this terminology . So on your next birthday, just announce you are celebrating your anniversary and all will be fine.(sarcasm inserted here)
