I don't disagree, Searcher. A couple of weeks back, I was bemoaning the fact that WTBTS makes the Bible confusing by their doctrines. I wondered what in the Bible was called confused or confusion. I had forgotten the name Babel from which, which Babylon comes from. So, I thought to myself, how fitting that the mother of the harlots is called, almost literally, "Confusion the Great". I could be way off in left field with this one, but I had to chuckle at the notion, at least.

Babylon the Great is the BIGGEST Harlot!
by The Searcher intwo key scriptures in revelation give a description of btg, and by doing so, identify to whom the name "babylon the great" applies.
revelation 17:5,6 says, "babylon the great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.
" and i saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of jesus".

They are i- Pad Nutty Now
by Poztate inso many at my wife's hall have rushed to buy i-pads,androids etc for use in servicetm and at the hall.. most know little or nothing about how to use them but have joined the stampede to jw.org tm and the reinvention of the wtbts.. it prompted one elder at my wife's hall to have a seminar at his house to explain how to use them in service and at the hall.. how exciting.... one 80 year old pioneer woman will be there with her new toy.. as a distraction it seems to be working quite well.
no need to worry about 1914 or other issues.. they are all nuts and getting nuttier....

Many of the R&F are not only buying these devices, but they're spending money on data plans so they can access the website out in service. Some are even pressuring those who cannot afford these plans to get them.

I heard about the security a couple of weeks ago. I'm so looking forward to standing in long lines waiting to get through security. There has been NO INFORMATION GIVEN to the congregations about this. It was just a quick mention by an elder in a comment. This ought to be fun.

Helpful Scriptural References - importance of Trust in God not Man
by objectivetruth inpsalms 118:8 - it is better to take refuge in jehovah than to trust in humans.. the scriptures are clear that jesus is the truth - the way - the life : john 4:6 - jesus said to him: i am the way and the truth and the life.
no one comes to the father except through me.
1 timothy 2:4 - whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

The preaching work is the single most important sign and thing that sets us apart and is there to show you the organization is from Jehovah. That is the whole key to everything as far as being able to determine the true religion.
The tactful response:
Yes, that's what I thought, too. So, I looked in the Bible for where this is stated. The closest thing I could find is Jesus' words at Luke 6:46: "Why, then, do you call me ‘Lord! Lord!’ but do not do the things I say?" Preaching is definitely one of the things Jesus said to do, but it's not the only thing. Actually, he reiterated the two greatest commandments to love God with your whole heart, mind and soul, and to love your neighbor as yourself. He also gave a new commandment, to love one another, and even said that THIS is what identifies ones as his disciples. In all my searching, though, I never found any place that says that preaching is what identifies people as true Christians. So, there's another question that I cannot find a satisfying answer to.

After the Memorial I talked with an elder and asked him if we have an partakers? He said that
we had 3 but we did not count them because they are not qualified
Not qualified? NOT QUALIFIED!!!!!?????!!!!
2 Cor 3:5 - "Not that we of ourselves are adequately qualified to consider that anything comes from us, but our being adequately qualified comes from God,"
Who do they think they are to say who is qualified and who is not???

The REAL reason for the elder and ms appointment change......
by EndofMysteries inas seen in recent posts, beginning later this year appointments and deletions of elders and ms will only happen through the circuit overseer.
this means that individual congregations and elders have no say anymore.
if the gb want only certain people in or out, they tell the co and he makes it happen.

There's the law of agency, though, right? That is, if a representative of an organization does something, it's as if the organization itself does it. I'm not sure how this insulates WTBTS legally.
Oh, wait. COs are part of some OTHER organization, if I recall... The Worldwide Religious Order of Jehovah's Witnesses, or something like that.

Ha ha ha... anyone catch this in paragraph 2?
Or you may be one of the thousands who have come to learn the truth through the preaching activity of other servants of Jehovah.

JW.ORG signs to be put on all Kingdom Halls! New directive.
by stuckinarut2 inso i have been told that all kingdom halls are to have a large jw.org sign placed prominently out the front..... can anyone confirm this?.

Thanks, Blondie!
The Watch Tower logo, or a variation of it, should not be used in future Kingdom Hall projects even if the Kingdom Hall is owned by a Watch Tower entity.
Of course, they could easily reverse this directive.

All appointed men are being told they have to pioneer now!
by stuckinarut2 inyes, you read correctly..... all appointed men have been told in a new letter that they have to pioneer to "set the lead" whenever there is a "special" campaign month.
they use some scripture saying that these ones have to show by example.... so for any of us who are appointed and have learned ttatt, it is going to be very hard to fade during this time!.

I guess we'll see if this is real organizationally or just something local by an overzealous BOE or CO.
