After Reinstatement
by NewChapter ini never had anyone close to me d'fd when i was still in my jw daze.
but i know that once it happens, good friends are crushed and desperately want that person reinstated.
when they are reinstated, there is a lot of (quiet) celebration.

I was d/f when I was 17. Reinstated when I was 18. Everyone was glad to have me back. There was no difference in how I was treated. Once an elder told me that I was a fine example of a jw. I truly felt loved by my JW
friends. I have no bad feelings against the jws personally. I can truthfully say I loved them and I think they loved me. After I was d/f the second time for apostacy none of them spoke to me but I know they don't hate me.
They just don't want to disobey the WTS.

Are you approved to report (from the km for july)
by therevealer inyes indeedy.
if you are fortunate enough to be approved you can report (as in be allowed to report) 15-minute increments.
i knew that older ones, for example, were encouraged to report even the smallest amount of service and the cong.

Wait a minute, all this breaking down hours to 15 minutes is making my head spin.
What scripture do the Dubs claim that leads them to count their time anyway? I'm sure there is one scripture they totally misinterpreted since they claim everything they do is from the Bible.
I'm wich yu ShirleyW. what the heck? I never heard of such nonsense! Why in the hell do they count all this time anyway? What would Jesus think!

Is this not the craziest thing I ever heard . I have been gone so long and they have become so controlling that I find it hard to believe that anyone could put up with so much control.

Where Are They Now?
by minimus inyou know they have that question about stars that were famous back in the day and they went from child star to porn star.. my question---regarding all the witnesses you knew from years ago, where are they now?.
these "true believers"---are they still around or are they long gone by now?.
when i think back to many of the elders that i knew, many are no longer around and those that are are ready to recieve their "reward"..

James Taylor, Carole King, Neal Dimond, Eagles, Lonestar,Gordon Lightfoot, Jimmy Buffet, any and everything in the 70s-80s. It's what I have on Pandora and listen to everyday. Carlos Vive is great if you understand Spanish. I
just discovered him since studying Spanish.

YOUR DAILY JOURNAL
by compound complex indear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

It's 10 o'clock in the am and I am having pizza and Charonnay for brunch.
I finally broke down and bought all the Godfather movies. L asked me if they were in HD but I forgot to check. The Godfather is the best movie ever, better, imo, than Gone With the Wind, although that was the greatest movie
ever made as far as my mother was concerened. I watched the supplements to the GF last night. I did not know that the woman who played Connie was Coppola's sister or that Connie's baby was, in fact, Sophia, Coppola's
daughter. How fantastic. Coppola's father also conducted some of the music in the movie. Today I am watchingthe supplement to "You've got Mail." I think Nora Ephron is a great director. I enjoy knowing how the movie was
made and what went into the decisions for filming certain scenes the way they did. I paid close attention to all the books on the bookshelves shown during the cocktail party scene. I think I have some of the same books on my
bookshelf. I remember noting down all the books shown on the flight Carmen Diez takes on the plane to England in "The Holiday." I bought some of them and already had and have read some of them. I admit to being a
little eccentric but, Oh well, that me.The kids and P are so good about indulding my idiosyncrasies especially when they have to listen to my music or watch these supplements to movies.
I want so much to go to NYC for Christmas and pretend that I am a Newyorker, walking and bumping into people as I make my way through the crowd, my arm filled to the brim with presents as the snow gently falls.
Maybe next year.

I like most JWs. They are my family and my childhood friends. I don't like what the WTS has made them into. I feel that the majority of those who shun me, do not enjoy doing it. If they don't obey, they will be in my
situation and most are true believers as I once was. I detest the leadership of the organization.

I tell those I work with about the control the WTS has over it's members. I tell them about the shunning and that the majority of my familly shuns me and my brothers. One of my friends told me her son told her that the JWs were
coming to his house for a visit. She told him what I had told her about the JWs and he said then he was not going to let them in his house. Others have told me that because of what I have told them, they will not ever have
anything to do with them. I tell them that it is the organization in NYC that is evil but the people are just people who are misled but will disown their family if they dare leave it. I tell them it is like the Mafia, you cannot leave of
your own free will. I have told them about 1975 and about them not approving of us getting a University degree and anything else I can tell them. I am not going to let them get away with ensnaring anyone I know or anyone they
know into this organization. I also tell them my mother bled to death because of the JW belief against blood transfusions. They believe what I tell them, and if they doubt it, I present them with the proof. I am a advocate
against the WTS.
