have you ever seen people who just constantly read.
they read at every given opportunity, at the gym, on the bus and train, at the beach, all weekend, even while holidaying overseas they mostly just read.
you even see them going down the street holding a book while walking, like some kind of zombie.
I have had a most enjoyable winter sitting in front of the fireplace reading and drinking wine. Since I have obtained my BA in Spanish, the books available for me to read has doubled.I have read most of Grabial Garcia Marquez's
novels. I have also downloaded dozens of classics to my iPAD so I always have something to read. I have also spent the winter surfing the web, which is how I found this forum. As I said, I have had a most enjoyabe winter.
No way!! Some of the people in the organization are good and sincere, but the GB is rotten to the core. The organization is just a greedy publishing corporation that does not
care anything about the flock. They make up rules and regulations just to keep the members under their thumb.They are liers and I would never subject myself to their
domination. Like someone said before, I left for a reason and that reason is still valid.I don't believe they are who they claim to be. They have already stolen my youth, I
would never give them any more of whatever time and life I have yet to live. I belong to myself now. I'm the boss of me!
i have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.
Truman, I am so sorry for your the loss. You have my utmost sympathy.Be assured that those on this forum are here for you. I am glad for you that you and your son maintained a close relationship .

i want to share with our readers an experience i had when two jehovah's witness elders came to my home to enlighten me regarding the new "technology" that allows for the taking of certain blood fractions with a clean conscience.
I found out I was Rh neg when I was pregnant with my second child. When I told the doctor I was a JW and could not allow a blood exchange for my baby, he told me he would get a court order to give my baby a blood
exchange. I left his office and found a doctor in another town who would not go aganist my wishes. I was 19. My daughter was fine but from then on I was terrified to have another child. That was in 1963
and the RhoGAM injection was not available then. My mother bled to death because she did not recieve a blood transfusion that could easily have saved her life.The WBTS is blood guilty and I agree with Ms Mercado's statement
about their responsibility before God. I wonder if any of the GB has ever had a blood transfusion. I would not be surprised if they have.

I think it's a natural organization of greedy, selfish men that are making millions as a publishing corporation and are not about to let anyone get in the way of their business. As Dennis Miller would say "Thats my opinion, of course I

When I was in school and could not participate in all the "worldy and/or religious" activities, I was not offended by what others said or did about these things. I knew I was the weird one and did not expect anyone to cater to my
beliefs.

here is why it should be - jw retirement center for ministers of the full-time servant order.. there is such a lack of care for retired co, do, missionaries, special pioneers without real funds.. a real retirement center with care provided and hospital staff.. it will never happen, but if it did, what a change of heart by the gb for the beatup and thrown out full-timers who will never have to die in this old system!
Quite clearly they should have COUNTED THE COST before offering themselves for service, if they didnt count the cost then they were not serving the god of love properly.
Maisha , these poor souls believed that the "NEW ORDER" would come in their lifetime and they would have all their needs met. They did not expect to grow old and weak in this "System of Things." Remember? The end was
supposed to come in 1975; about 35 years ago! Who would have thought the GB/F&DS didn't know what the heck they were talking about. Thank goodness some of us had the brains to figure it out and get out while we could still
make plans for the future. The organization owes them something, but hell will freeze over before they get any help for the GB/F&DSLAVERS!
