was god using a visible channel?.
Hello all.
Been doing some research. Thought that I would share this tidbit with you.

Was God Using a Visible Channel?
There are, of course, many religious organizations, and a considerable number of teachers make some use of the Bible. Was God particularly using Charles Taze Russell? If so, did God cease to have a visible channel when Brother Russell died? These became critical issues, ones that led to further testing and sifting.
It certainly could not be expected that God would use C. T. Russell if he did not loyally adhere to God’s Word. (Jer. 23:28; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17) God would not use a man who fearfully refrained from preaching what he saw clearly written in the Scriptures. (Ezek. 2:6-8) Nor would God use a person who exploited his knowledge of the Scriptures to bring glory to himself. (John 5:44) So, what do the facts show?
As Jehovah’s Witnesses today review the work that he did, the things he taught, his reason for teaching them, and the outcome, they have no doubt that Charles Taze Russell was, indeed, used by God in a special way and at a significant time.
Only a freed mind can see through this “Damned” information that they write. The WTS is a witness against itself!
last night i posted watch tower observer link about the memorial talk outline onto a finnish forum.
by noon the thread had about dozen posts.
i just checked and found out that the thread was being removed.
Kent posted this on his forum.
Writing Articles for "The Watchtower" and "Awake!"
Chapter 24
1. WRITING DESKS: The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses has approved of setting up writing desks on a permanent basis in a number of the Society's branch offices.
to find additional individuals who are qualified to write and thus give greater diversity to the style of writing in our magazines, while also achieving a broader interest in our publications.
Those used as writers must be dedicated, baptized brothers or sisters in good standing with their local congregations and who have writing ability. They should be exemplary, modest, not inclined to talk loosely to others about their writing activity. Sisters may be found to be especially talented in writing articles of interest to women. However, they should not be used to prepare articles that are basically an exposition of Scripture.

i think the small time lawyer will be out gunned on this one- most small towns always end up passsing goofy laws like this one.
while i have no love for wt i do know a poorly written law when i see one exp when the mayor is walking around in affect saying: "ww want to keep you people out".
the boys in legal laugh when they see some elective dude say some off the cuff remark like that.
Hi JT,
I think that the town lawyers underestimated the power and control that the WT has. I think that they think that the humble looking JWs that run around their town are a reflection of the WTS, and would run at the first sign of a threat. Boy did they learn different. DON'T MESS WITH THE WTS. THEY WILL HURT SOMEBODY!!!!!!! And I mean that in the most literal way. Turn the other cheek, huh? Yeh right!!

it seems that i'm a dangerous man.. last time we went over to vist my dad in canada, my sister rang the local congregation to warn them that i was going!.
wow ... i feel like 'the jackal' or something ... international danger man!.
what sad pathetic little lives they lead ...
Hey Simon,
you better be careful. They may try to get you to repent of your terrible deeds and leave the wicked Internet. You see, they really love you, and have your best interests at heart. They know that you were mislead, but Jehovah is a loving God and He will forgive you. Then when you have rejoined the ranks, you will "truly" be happy along with the throngs of happy witnesses worldwide.

i died and went to heaven.
i was escorted to this beautiful mansion.
as i was settling in, my neighbor came by to welcome me, and wondered what i had done to merit this big mansion.
I died and went to heaven. I was escorted to this beautiful mansion. As I was settling in, my neighbor came by to welcome me, and wondered what I had done to merit this big mansion. I said, “I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses”. He said, “well I will be damned. I was a Catholic Priest all of my adult life, and lived strictly by moral standards as set out in the Bible. And I truly did not veer off from any of my vows.” Now how in the hell did you get this big mansion when I only inherited this tiny little house way up on the hill?
Then God intervened and said, “being that Pureheart is the only Jehovah’s Witness that made it up here, I figured she deserved the best that I could offer.
Hahahahahaahahah

what scriptures do the jw's use to back up the practice of disfellowshiping/disassociating?
what scriptures can be used against it?
i would appreciate any help with this.
Hey Jiutman,
Here is some information about why JWs disfellowship people.
Discipline That Can Yield Peaceable Fruit
“No discipline seems for the present to be joyous, but grievous; yet afterward to those who have been trained by it it yields peaceable fruit, namely, righteousness.”—HEBREWS 12:11. God’s fatherly discipline, which can affect our spiritual lives, can take many forms. One is his arrangement to exclude from the Christian congregation a person who no longer wants to live by God’s standards, or who refuses to do so. A person who is thus strongly chastised or disciplined may repent and turn around. In the process, the congregation of loyal ones are also disciplined in that they learn the importance of conforming to God’s high standards.—1 Timothy 1:20.
When a man in Corinth was unrepentantly immoral, Paul told the congregation: “Quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man.” (1 Corinthians 5:11-13) The same was to occur with apostates, such as Hymenaeus: “As for a man that promotes a sect, reject him after a first and a second admonition; knowing that such a man has been turned out of the way and is sinning.” (Titus 3:10, 11; 1 Timothy 1:19, 20) Such shunning would be appropriate, too, for anyone who rejects the congregation: “They went out from us, but they were not of our sort; for if they had been of our sort, they would have remained with us. But they went out that it might be shown up that not all are of our sort.”—1 John 2:18, 19.
