  Taking my sister to church this Sunday!!!

  so yesterday i stopped by my sisters home and decided to just hang out and shoot the breeze... she was telling me that since she has stopped going to the kingdom hall (the last 9 months) she still looks for things to do on sunday.

  she feels she should go and do something and she likes the idea of church.

  it seems fun and will giove her a place to meet people.

  I hope the sermon is good! That makes all the difference. Many pastors just make up stuff because the church is a sleep.

  Ignore the Trinity stuff that use to make me run for the door.

  JWs in a frenzy!

  anyone else get the distinct impression that jws are being worked up into a frenzy with all the changes and activity nowadays?

  by the end of august, there will have been four campaigns inside of a year.

  one last november, a memorial campaign, a convention campaign and an advertise jw.org campaign.. then there's the conventions with all the hooplah around that with all the video, and the aggrandizement of synchronized gb talks.

  Leaving"I brought up the "strange instructions" thing because my very-much-in JW mother brought it up to me recently. If you think JWs aren't paying attention, think again. The problem is, they can't really see things for what they are. They're too busy being enamored with all the activity that they don't have time to sit down and actually prove everything to themselves. The organization does NOT give them any room to breathe for normal life, let alone actually studying. Since I stepped down as an elder two years ago, I've had that time to study, and it TAKES that much time to study. My elder brother-in-law recently told me he has NO TIME for deep research like me."

  Congratulations with the deep studying! Do you find it impossible to know all the WT cover-ups! I gave up on researching JW history years ago because every rock I looked under was full of worms! So I stopped reading JW bible and picked up NOV and KG bibles plus a few more. The only research I really had to do was from reading the bible from beginning to end.

  Now, your JW elder brother probably does not read his bible because one does not need to do research to get to know God or Jesus!

  The bible, God's WORD proves false made up doctrines by the WT. You should suggest him to read his bible without publications.

  Activities are just another way to stay busy so GB can come out with more changes. Too bad the activities are so unhealthy.

  Dinosaurs.

  as a jw i always believed that dinosaurs at one point existed.

  my whole family did, almost all the jws i knew did.

  one time i was out for dinner, and one of the people with us was convinced that they never existed.

  It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation.

  Hmmm! It is not like I was a WT reader in the 90s! What the hell does that mean! Wt should just state that they no longer believe the creative six days and be done with it!

  I really can not wrap my head around this change. Just a couple of nights,ago I was watching Cosmo and he said the earth was billions of years old. Love this program but I had a hard time with "billions" Although I am an ex-jdub I looked at my sister and stated,"We know creation took six thousand years so how could it be "billions of years old." Maybe that is one thing the WT got right!" She smiled and said, "Are you sure?" I said,"Yes." Lol!

  Darn it! I give this organization just one little thing as right and they changed the dam doctrine fourteen years ago! Strange in 1999 I was too busy researches all the other major errors!

  Errrrr! I am not laughing yet just smirking a little.

  Happy everyone enjoyed the new movie! I was wondering if it was funny like the old version?

  Question about the anointed selection process

  thing is, she is 27. the elders didn't stop her and no one was like wtf.

  can someone be anointed at age 27?.

  It's called gossiping and backbiting if somone that young partakes!

  Dealing with overbearing parent?

  how was it growing up dealing with over bearing parents being a born in?

  right now i'm being guilt tripped about relationships and friendships with normal people.

  it makes no sense to me, how can you tell someone who is grown not to hang out with certain individuals?

  New to The Jehovahs Witness Faith and need some help

  hello there i am new to the faith and have been studying for about a month.

  i am very excited and hungry for the truth and have not missed a meeting or study since the memorial.

  we do about 2 bible studies a week.

  I want to welcome you here and hope and pray that you have found some help.

  Also, I want to know if you pray for your husband,brother,and people in authority and government?

  How about the kingdom hall, are they praying for government? People in office? Or do they think it is the Governing Body? See how they will twist following scriptures to mean WT Governing Body! So that is a red flag!

  JW do not ever pray for presidents or officers! In fact do they pray for anyone outside the religion!

  You have a problem because it goes against the bible. No matter what you are welcome here.

  Romans 13:1 ESV /

  Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

  OMG I'm so happy!!!!

  yup, the apostate is happy.

  i shouldn't be, right, because my life is empty without "jehovah" and the organisation.. but i just got a job at one of the best theme parks in the world, which is so what i want to do, and it's the first permanent job i've had since i lost my government job in 2012!.

  the job pays minimum wage but i don't care because working in tourism and entertainment is what i want to do!

  just to let everyone know, a good channel on youtube that i have watched for many years has suddenly been terminated by youtube.

  im not sure what video was the issue, his last video was on the occult theocracy book, and others.

  i dont really know how his channel got in trouble, as i dont remember him having any videos that could be considered copyright infringments as they are all personal commentary.. interesting.

  i am so intrigued by all of these science and history shows.

  with the universe being so large, with the fact that we have ocean floors we cant even get to, with all of the amazimg artifacts...isnt it possible?

  there is so much we dont know.
