  Would Your Family Stone You to Death?

  ot law required jews to take the lead in stoning a family member who became apostate.. the watchtower has lamented the fact that the law of the land now forbids them from doing so.. if the law permitted it, as it does in some musim countries, and if the watchtower required it, would your family obey?.

  my parents are good people and i believe their love for me is genuine, but i think they would follow orders.. what about yours?.

  Wew,I remember how awful the JWs turned against me! They gave me horrible looks when I was trying to get reinstated. They gowled at me like a dogs.

  Anyhow, yes they would have stoned me!

  John 6:68 vs 2 Timothy 4:3

  one thing that's bothered me for a while about the use of john 6:68 (oddly, this has always been the bigger issue than the rampant replacement of 'whom' with 'where') was it's apparent condemnation by 2 timothy 4:3.. from the jw bible:.

  john 6:68 - simon peter answered him: lord, whom shall we go away to?

  you have sayings of everlasting life.".

  Every time I heard that scripture at the KH,I applied it to the folks at the kh. Elders would tickle each others ears all the time. Good sermon! I've been to several churches teaching false garbage and giving the people what they wanted to hear. Frankly it is because the members pay his salary. Some people could care less what the pastor states because they liked him. I went to one church the guy made complete fools out of the congregation and they clapped.

  I find nothing wrong with Peters statement about eternal life which Jesus indeed did offer. He did not tickle their ears because Jesus leads to truths.

  "They stuck with jesus, not because of his love for them or others, not because of the miracles he performed or prophesies he fullfilled, not because they had faith that he was god's son, but because he had "Sayings of everlasting life." If backing a minister because he says you will live forever isn't "surrounding [yourself] with teachers to have [your] ears tickled" then I don't know what is."

  Not too sure you have this understanding right. I believe they stayed with Jesus for ever reason you claimed they did not which all equals to a future hope for mankind. Eternal life! I believe their is a diiference between etertnal life compared to JW everlasting life.

  Where could anyone go! No place.Only Jesus can offer us true salvation. Other than God's salvation one has no place to go.

  People tickle each others ears all the time but they are just empty speeches. Our egoes seemed to desire being tickled. Jesus never had to tickle anyones ears. Peter and thousands of Christians followers knew Jesus was the truth by everything he acomplished.

  Where and who was a good point! Hmmmm! LOL.

  The Governing Body's Currant Money Grab From The Rank And File Will Only Get Worse And More Oppressive

  the governing body are fighting for corporation survival here, and now and they are only going to get worse as the child molestation lawsuits must be paid out so expect more in real eastate sell offs and kingdom hall scemes to rip off the rank and file for every single penny they can get out of them praying on their extreme gulibilty to the limits another words to the breaking point.. this type of double dealing with the hard earned contributions given to support the kingdom halls will very quickly back fire on them causeing more extreme measures to pay the plaintiffs in child molestation lawsuits.

  Maybe the GB and WT society are re writing the rules. Individual kh will be responsible for not reporting child abuse cases. Now elders can be sued which will mess over the elders. Slowly the WT society is watching their own backs leaving the poor elder to pay out of pocket.

  In the future GB and the society will not be liable for individual kh and elders negligence for choosing to not report to the police.

  Just a thought.

  Banking extreme amount of money that no one knows the figure. They also won freedom of religion in France case. God only knows how many cases they actually won.

  Thank goodness for man made laws to prevent the Wt from actually acting this one out!

  Apostate class was invented by the WT society just like an evil slave class. It so upsetting they invent a class to be shunned and latercwant to kill them!

  I never guessed they would go this far!

  No my parents would not. They would walk away. My mother carried two siblings up a mountain side during a flash flood. She was ten years old and considered a hero.

  I thought it was written by the WT. I can see Wt qouting this article.

  My thoughts it proves Canada hospital errors and not the actual blood. I only read part two.

  Unfortuntly few mistakes happen but did they compare it to how many lives were saved.

  Hmm, it looks like three lives can be saved by one donation.

  i've been wanting to ask your advice for ages on this subject and here goes.. my mum is a jw fanatic, she just reads the bible and the publications, no other books at all.

  she is a functioning alcoholic.. she is so disappointed in me.

  i married out of the truth, you see!!!.

  Do you think you can let her know when she says something that it bothers you! Please do not say my child is naughty or poor!

  Once you let her know how you feel it will get easier.

  As far as fanatic reading that could work to your benefit. One simple question can lead to doubt.

  I would be interested in what she is reading so I could say what do you think of this paragraph. There is always a few odd paragraphs.

  You could have your own private joke. As long as you keep your own views to yourself. Let her draw her own conclusion. Do not make it a big conversation more like a hit a run.

  You could look up comments from Wt studies here :-)

  Also, let her know it is Your life and You are happy with your husband and child. It bothers you that she states.......! She made her choices and she should respect yours.

  As far as gift giving goes I do not know.

  well, it has come to another fork in the road.

  i have been going to other meetings and skipping more.

  car groups and two bros tried stopping by my house recently but i was not home or gates were locked.

  It will not matter as long as you do not have family in the org. DA family can not associate with you. DA do not want to attend meetings but if one wants it the same as Dfing you.

  Good thing for gates! Now the time to have your voice mail on.

  Elders not going to do anything. Hopefully he will ignore you. Best not to say it again.

  Nugget it was the right thing to do as far as confidentiality! You gained my respect. Your husband probably shared confident with other elders. Some elders wives do not understand this. Elders get the wanting to help a dfd one so they go to the orginal elders to find out the facts! Goes against the rules. That how rumors spread because orginal elder do not keep it private.

  Considering I was the kind to go back for family,I had a horrific elders meeting that lasted over fifteen years. It became a you have to reinstate me! Not!

  Anyhow, I was bitter and when I did my research and joined this forum I realized that it was a waste of time! I did get reinstated but not by those elders. They are all dead now so it is in Jesus hands.
