my mentally in jw wife is trying to organize a "princess party" for my 4 year old daughter and her little cousins and friends.

she was looking at prices of a tent for the backyard party in case it rains.

she asked the hardware store how much and they said 90 dollars for the day.

Charge him for eating your food and sitting on your sofa! Using your toilet paper!

Tell your wife to grow up and never borrow anything from dear elder daddy any more.

It makes you look bad: can not provide for your family basic needs.

In fact limit any contact with him. He just a Fing nut case.

Report his greedy attitude to other elders, and claim him un fit to be a good role model for the congregation.

Your wife does sound a little mental maybe it runs in that family.

Some day you might need to sabotage your marriage just to get your children out of their hands!

That takes good planning.

i was told by jw's that angels came down to earth before the flood, and had children with women.. i have a question about this and would like the sort of answer a jw would give so that i can be ready for them when they come to my door.. if one third of god's angelic staff were banished to earth, are they doing this now?.

if not, what is stopping them?.

if so, where are all these half angel children?.

angels and women

What is to stop these wicked angels doing what JW's believe that angels did before the flood?, Most of the posters did answer this question. Read Villagegirls post.

Because the last fallen angels could care less about sex they are disturbing every part of the earth. World events and what is on the daily news. Just a guess how JW would answer. Maybe a legend of fallen angels enjoy living inside one human. Maybe they are the cause of why humans choose to shoot down a plane! Or suddenly someone does something they would normally not do. Maybe Satan roams around getting faithful ones to turn against Jesus Christ and using anything he can. Just like in Jesus days. Satans invisible powers are so strong his invisible presence can change a person against another! entices Evil spirits thrive on getting humans to hate one another. Faithful Christians understand that their are wicked forces that are invisible. The war between good and evil is understood in all Christian sects and not limited to JWs.

and why send them here?

Asking Christians why send them here is like doubting Gods judgement upon the fallen angels.

Faithful Christians do not ask why because they believe. I am just stating that the majority of followers do not need to ask why God allowed something because it is their faith in God's judgement that they believe.

I really think many answered your first questioned.

Is is right to leave your job for the WT? In an assembly interview

we had an assembly part here 6 months ago where a sister was interviewed by the co because she left her job to do more wt work, she talked about some jobs that she had recently been offered with good pay but turned these down.

most listening to this is would be thinking that this sister is being blessed by jehovah for taking this stand, how much faith she has to do this and what can we do personally with our own jobs, made me almost feel guilty for having a job.

anyway come forward 6 months to now, this family has had to move to another region because the husband couldnt find enough work to support his family here.

Convention Season-"Saving Good Seats" & Other Embarrassing Behavior

since it is the convention season (and i am not attending this year or ever again), and i have been seeing other posts about some of the goings on at the various ic's and rc's, i am reminded of some of the truly embarrassing behavior i have "witnessed" (pun intended) over my lifetime of being a jdub at the various conventions and assemblies.

probably the most disillusioning experience at a convention that i have ever had was one year when i volunteered to be an attendant.

all of the volunteers were asked to attend a special meeting a few months beforehand to get instructions for our duties as attendants.

I really noticed how in the 60 and 70s people actually had respect for each other.

One of the things I noticed after they built the assembly hall, was how much every thing changed and the lack of respect went out the door.

Shocking how people behave.

We use to here talks on how wonderful and clean God's people were compared to the "worldly"

In fact they used to have pre assembly talks on how to behave! Just remembered that one!

Now the local people behaviors just went way down into the the mud. The brothers enjoy fighting over seats like swines rolling in the mud and snarling at one another over" rotten food."

I attended one assembly after years out and I was so shocked with the changes in people's attitudes.

It actually scared me and the fairy tale was no longer there. Some good friends would call this awareness.

Strange thing is that I was in a total cultural shock and the elders were trying to bring me up to all the recent changes.

This change and the lack of love among the JWs and the so called newly built convention was too much to handle. My childhood good memories of assembly was wiped out by new and improved convention centers full of animals.

I was invited a couple of times to attend, some claimed gurantee a good time. Honestly not after what I had experience. Eventually some even admitted the changes and lack of love at conventions were hard for even them to deal with.

Not much love was a good reason for me to leave and never go back.

Honestly who wants to eat in a cafateria full of swines. Not me ever again.

I would rather be alone than in a large room full of blind folks.

Praise For Witnesses On Welfare Who Full Time Pioneer!

the watchtower has always praised witnesses who are on welfare and decided to pioneer.

many in my congregation, including my mom, were given kudos, praise and assembly parts because they took advantage of jehovah's provision through the government....did you notice this, or was it obvious to me because i was raised in the inner city and many people recieved government help?.

Yes I noticed and most got on welfare not only because the obvious but because they were mentally ill.

Old Goat thanks for your thoughts. "Franz used prophetic application in Josephus" my generation 60s 70s we were not allowed to read books qouted in Cathoilic,Jewish encylopedia,and Josephus. They were books of the world! I looked at these books in the 90s because older WT books qouted from them. My sisters was going to the library and looking up qoutes in the 60s and 70s! LOL, it was the thing we were never suppose to do. I tracked Michael and Archangel starting from the "Truth" book to older Catholic encylopedia to Jewish encylopedia. Found it strange Russell qouted from the book of Enoch and the JWs kept recycling this information as if it was from the bible. I just went into shock. LOL!

You sound like you've had a fullfilled life. I enjoy reading what you share.

Need a Game Plan

i'm not sure what is going on at the convention, but i just got a desperate call from a friend wanting me to attend sunday's morning session.

last weekend, my mom invited me too.instead of saying something like, "i'm sorry, but i have no intention of going back," and having them completely freak out - i agreed to go to the sunday morning session.

any recommendations?

I am not too sure about your age but you sound young about 23 years old. Actually,I thought about 19 years of age. I am sure that is why some are making suggestions on how to meet people. I think they are good ones but considering you own your own business.

Spiritual weak is a good way to go if you want JWs to help you understand the "truth." Considering how often you will see them.

I can only write from personal experiences. Who said you need to fit in any where? I have tried for years and still get that feeling of not belonging. It the facts of life.

About the inside:

How can anyone feel like they belong in the inside of the kh when the only face people see is a fake smile. You can not share basic human rights such as,"I no longer care about some of these doctrine." Frankly, the instant feelings of friendship. Oh hiw I missed that for twenty five years until I realized that was part of the programming. You miss the fairy tale.

But the reality is just like you said. You do not fit in the inside or out.

To be honest with you it is a normal way of life for many long term born in to feel that way. It takes a long time attending any group to feel like one belongs. I have not given my all yet to any group. But it did not stop me for asking long term members their secret.

It is not like one leaves and goes on the outside and gains a similar feelings of closeness. It just never happened for me!

The thing I realized about the inside with family and friends. We were programmed to think a certain way.

Take your friend who recently called you.

Good example of programming.

An outside friend you would probably say," I am not interested in the convention because I no longer care about it but would like to go to a movie."

A normal situation " a friend" would say,"okay let us go see ...."

Yet JW programming there really is no such thing as a close friendship because the condition is belonging to the group.

Your friend is friendless.

She is emotionally not available for you to know how you," do not care about the JW teachings."

She clueless as how, you want to stay under the radar and would rather be looked upon as spiritual weak. Now that is programming. No other organization will you need to be this way. Close friends should understand.

Spiritual weak is there such a thing. Only in the in the WT.

Loneliness is tough on everyone inside or out.

But if your not wanting to be A JW your life future must be considered.

Yet for some reason,been there done that, you placed everyone ahead of your future.

And that my young friend is called wearing your heart on your sleeve. It will rob your of life.

Been there done that! Yes I wore my heart on my sleeve my entire life until a coworker woke me up! Another WT programming.

Now I have a question for you.

How much of your life are you willing to give up playing the WT games? Being single you have one to worry about

Akso, I am bible kind of person. Ask your friend, Would you give your life for me? As you said a friend called!

I doubt any JW will give their lives for you. The bible says a friend should give their life for you. Becareful who you call a friend because they might some day turn their backs on you. Find good friends that will make sacrifices for you and you for them. If you can not share your fading with a friend JW or not it is time for changes.

Channel of communication!

Actually they do not have any chance of speaking for Jehovah or Jesus.Do you believe that Russell is in heaven sending messages to the earth to the remaining 144,000. Now Governing Body? Anyhow, God would not use pyrimidology as divine light. How about Jesus is now Michael the Archangel and all the other angel hats?

They have zero chance of being Gods channel of communication even from a bibical stand point. God would not use false teachings to prove truth. Comparing them with other religions is too hard to do when they lied about other religions. Programming! First one needs to focus on JW background. As a JW we were taught the false doctrines of other religions so the focus would not be on the WT.

I understand your hard times and everything you wrote is reasonable. Your sharing your honest thoughts!

It does get easier and with time family fades!
