  Vegetarianism

  why aren't witnesses vegetarians?

  it's well known that adam and eve were vegetarian.

  there was only ever a concession given by god to allow meat eating after the flood as there was no vegetation so it was forced and rather a temporary fix up rather than a new permanent diet.

  As has been stated on other threads in which Abaddon has participated, his posts often are eye-opening/informative/constructive for lurkers and/or other viewers and are not necessarily aimed exclusively at the rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth:

  i) fundy

  ii) young earth creationist,

  or, as in this case

  iii) really bizarre vegetarian posters

  who initiate wacky topics such as this one. I dare say even PETA would be ashamed of rezamichael.

  (P.S. to Abaddon: I’ve finished the first (shorter) book and will begin Dawkins when I have the chance. Summer f un has gotten in the way of my serious reading for awhile )

  Pictures...Of Our New Home

  here is a few pics of our home...they are not very good though ...lol...i don't have any pictures up yet, most of my plants are setting on my table (still), some stuff is still out in the moving van and our grass is not in and garage is not built (the cut lumber in our yard is going to be milled and used for our deck and garage)!

  Most charity has a religious tie-in because most religious groups believe charity is good. Jehovah's Witnesses do not! Even Meals on Wheels can get you into trouble if it is discovered you are helping out by volunteering your time feeding the old and infirm. Why? YOU ARE STEALING TIME FROM THE DOOR TO DOOR PREACHING.

  This is a tightly wound spring. As a publisher you don't want it to snap down on your neck.

  There are many JW's who have tried unsuccessfully to get their outside charity and volunteer work past the elders.

  You'd be hard-pressed to find any success.

  I was a born-in JW, special and regular pioneer, served where the need was great, learned a foreign language, yada yada yada, you know, the most zealous of j-dubs, a true believer.

  And yet, I participated in and donated to various charities throughout my life as a JW, and I know of others who have volunteered in hospitals, etc., all with the knowledge of the elders. And whether or not the elders "approved", there wasn't a damn thing they could do about it.

  i am flying out again tomorrow to mexico city via london & atlanta, ga. i will be working in mexico city until the 27th of may.

  (((Mario))) what an insane schedule; please try and rest and take care of yourself. And please get some grief counselling or see a support group or talk to us here! The exhaustion will only magnify the hurt and pain you're still in.
