CO Visits... Are elders honest about the TRUE state of the congregation?

this question is really for elders or ex-elders (or ministerial servants in the know).... did you find that some elders would tend to "white-wash" the true state of the congregation when they had their sit-down with the co every 6 months?.

did some elders feel pressure to hide certain things from a co for fear of being "removed" from the boe?.

(judging by the "fakeness" that some elders displayed during co visits, i have to wonder whether they were really worried about being removed for not seeking out inactives or encouraging more participation during the wt study, book study or fs...).

The Coodinator of BOE engaged in spreding a melicious slandering against publisher(s). The BOE covered up for COBOE to an investigating CO. At the end COBOE got puffed up and was rewarded with the assembly parts and his helpless inocent victim(s) got DF'ed. His victims' offense?-being Rank & File. No one, including a CO, even approached R & F of his/her side stroy.

Now this same COBOE is in trouble with another R & F on the same issue, a malicious slandering. He will be fine. The BOE will cover him up again. The CO is bascially being playing in the hands of the BOE. The GB is rely on the COs' report. The poor R & F will keep on waiting for 'Jehovah to take care of the matter'

Besides, to name a few more of dishonesty/tactic of BOE:

setting up last minute 'pioneer assistant' program or approving anyone and everyone, including a pedephile, for axuillary and regular pioneering to shine the record or manuplating meeting attandance or sharing the half made up truth and leaving the other real truth(=out right lie) on the issues or buying out CO with good wine, food, shopping, money, vacation package.......

So was my husband. I told him not to take too seriously to the current true that's being told at the assembly. He will be DFed for believing what's being told today if he still believe in 5 years later or sooner. The offense?-Brazen Conduct!

Why are Henry Grew and Georg Storrs mentioned so often recently?

when i checked the wtlib cd-rom, i noticed that henry grew and georg storrs were mentioned only 5 times each from 1950 - 1999. then at once from 2000 onwards, both get more than 50 hits.

why is it that they are now portrayed together with russel as the founding fathers of the faith?

is russel so much of a problem to the gb 2.0 that they have to put 2 others in front of him to deviate the attention?

It's interesting the WTS comparing Storrs and Grew(False prophets who predicted 1779, 1874, 1879, 1914) with Tyndale, Wycliffe, Waldo,...(martyrs) and Christ, only mediator between men & God. Yet, JWs reject Christ' mediatorship and look up the GB for their salvation.

Poor Rank & File have to subject themselves to such schemes!

I wonder the WT$ is liquidating all of these realestate through out the world while they are still in control.

The way how things are going with the WT$ I won't be suprise to see some of the branches will splint away from the WT$ Headquater which happened when Cold War collasped in late 80'. Huge numbers of JWs from eastern Europe including Russia under the former USSR rejected the ever changed WT$' apostacy doctrins and went on on their own. Of course the WT$ never published any of these developements in the Year Book or the magazins. ( There's the thread on this topic that says, 'why so many splinter groups of Jehovah's Witnessess..' or something like that)

Has anyone here read the thread on 'Menlo Park Elder Tells..' ? (The WT$ apparantly has illegaly tried to take over this KH which worth 2-3 million dollar and in the process removed entire BOE who didn't cooperate with the WT$ and currently legal disputes going on between the WT$ v the Former Elders. )

How many have gotten interested in Human Services, Charity, Social Justice, Social Work and the like after awakening to Watchtower aberrance?

whilst under watchtower influence i had little interest or awareness in these areas.. now they have become a passion.. i wonder if it has something to do with the "cult identity or self" versus the "authentic identity or self" as outlined by steven hassan in the "interacting with dual identities" chapter of his book "releasing the bonds - empowering people to think for themselves".. who has had a similar experience and/or change of career related to unplugging from the watchtower?.

I become an animal rescuer. I adopted my dog(my very first dog ever) about 7 months ago from a local shelter. I am also fostering dogs from the local No Kill Animal Shelther. My first 2 foster dogs were adopted by wonderful families and I am helping to find home for my 3 rd dog currently. I am bascially turned into a dog lady.

This might not big a deal for many people but it is for me. See, all my life especially as a JW, I disliked and scared of dogs and cats. As a JW(for 25 years) I had neither heart nor time for so called wordly people and their affair, let alone for animal. I spend most of my free time in caring my dogs and involving in animal adoption events. My daughter & I volunteer at a local soup kitchen also. I finally feel like contributing myself in the community.

I was a full time pioneer for 15 years for nothing. What a waste!!

People leave the Org but don't drop the doctrine?

this deserved its own thread.

one thing i have observed being able to speak freely to individuals now about the wtbts is that even though they fade, they hold one to all or a portion of the doctrine.. if you examine the doctrine openly and fully you will see it has as many holes in it as the org does.

although it may appeal to you it doesn't make it sound scripturally.

That's exactly what I have come to the conclusion from my a reletively short time reserch. It looks like Knorr was a more business man but Fred Franz was a true cult leader who is behind most of the WT$ doctrin even from the Rutherford reign.

Freddie makes Jim Jones look like a Junior High.

What really frighten me is the current GB. Everything that come out of their publications, talks, letters, elders book, new polices, etc. are bad to worse. These guys make Freddie a Junior High in my opinion.

well, being fully free from the org via my ex-communication really allows me to engage in conversations with members who allow me to do so.. what i have found interesting in every conversation is this common phrase, "you know (looking down their nose at me) the truth.

you know that the information is correct so imperfect organization or not this is jehovah's chosen organization.

Most who left the borg did so in physically but still are in captive of the cult concept which have hindered them from being enlightened and being unsheckled from the concept. Most hold onto the doctrin and living under fear and are unhappy.

I consider myself extremly fortuneat that I combated the cult in a reletively short time, with help of the internet. I now be able to see the borg as a third person. What I see is...the JONE'S TOWN!

i didn't ask why they don't because their own literature makes them out as horrible frauds!

my question is how do you get a hold of stuff like the "finished mystery" "the divine plan of the ages" and other pertinent false doctrine that has been swept under the rug and locked in the coffers at wt headquarters?

i feel so helpless because if i show my wife info on the net she will just write it off as apostate and altered like we have all been trained to think.

I have been also showing some mistranslations found in connection with the NWT' insertions of 'Jehovah' into the text in place of the original language manuscript reading of 'the Lord' (1Corin 7:17-23; 16:10; 2 Corin 3:14-18: Eph 2:19-22, 6:5-9; Colossians 3:22-24; 2 Thessalonians 2:2; James 5:14,15; Acts 13:44-48; In these verses the context refers to Christ) Here's how I do,

1. Read the context from different Translations and then establish which one context refers to Jehovah or Jesus.

2. Read them from the NWT to check for the correct translation.

3. You can double check them from 'The Kingdom Interlinear Translation

Let them know how you feel if 2 women(your wife and her mother) attack you and tell them, "You are persecuting me for following Jesus and His Father and the Bible"-use the same guilt trip JWs use on us. Make her/them feel like being your persecutor(in fact they are) and read John chapter 9 to her/them. It worked for me.

what was the reason for canceling the book study in private homes

We used to prepared the Watchtower study for the meeting at our home on Saturdays. We would invited different familly for that and had dinner afterward. My husband, a host and an elder, coustumarily conducted the study. At one point we were told by the CO that no person should conduct private home Bible study. We were directed to have everyone take turn reading the paragraph from the magazine and ask designated question and answer the question upon he/she finish reading the paragraph. In that way no one will be in teaching position or can influence others with his view point. And that's what we ended up did. They bascically discourgaed the private Bible study even in preparing the Watchtower study . I thought that was odd. That was sevral years before canceling the book study

I look back that the GB were in extrem paranoid for not able to control what's going on beyond the KH level to the point canceling the book study all together. It seemed that they have been contemplating in canceling it for a while until they can come up with the excuse. The high gas price-What a patheticic excuse to use to deceive their followers! They never resumed it following year when the gas price dropped.

Believe me, one thing they are not is that they have your best interest. They will through you to the wolf and sign contract with the devil in a second to benefit them and to meet their agenda.

Maybe a pedophile issue played in some roll too. We have several those that I know of in the area along with their victims of as young as 3 year-old!
