It's right thing to say "I am sorry" regardless.

Iknowall558, Kudos to your effort!
1Cor.5:11 is another good example of red herring of the Watchtower.
You may reason with her such as:
Compare 1Cor.5:11 with 2Thess. 3:14
The Watchtower refers 1Cor.5:11 to support their disfellowshipping and shunning policies and,
2Thess. 3:14 for their marking policy(in this case, you treat a marked one as a brother).
And yet, the very same Greek word is used in both scriptures. The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures published by the Watchtower Society translate it as, "to be mixing selves up with" in 1Cor 5:11 and "to mix up selves with" in 2Thess 3:14. So then,
The both scriptures should be interpreted with the same line of thought. It either 'being shunned' or 'not being shunned" but both.
It's obvious then, the Watchtower either invented 'disfellowshipping" policy or adopted it from the human tradition. You can't find the word 'disfellowship' in New World Translation. The closest word in NWT is 'expell'. Interesting enough, the word 'expell' in the Bible is associated with the Jwish tradition. It was practiced by the Pharisses(John chapter 9 is a perfect example of this).

Getting some more help
by Cagefighter ini have talked before about what happened to me as a jw.
i was baptized at 12 and two years later i was in a judicial committee for sexual immorality after having an inappropriate relationship with an older woman.. it was handled just like any other kh would have handled it.
after a humiliating interrogation by my elder father in front of my mother, he dropped the dime on me.

Cagefighter, I apologize how you were treated and abused by Jehovah's Witnesses at age 14. The similar thing happened to my child. The Judicial Committee made the situation bad to catastrophic in our case. How can I even describe all the heartache and suffering that we've gone through as a result of heartless JC's abusive action! I was foolish enough to let my child go through JWs elders' abusive JC. I finally put my foot down on the JC upon witnessing their inhumane behavior to a 14 year-old. (my child was 14 as yourself). I wrote the JC a letter and let them know they were bunch of monstrous interrogators. I eventually got disfellowshipped for depending and assisting my abused child.
You were slammed and wronged by JWs when in fact you were a victim of child sexual abuse. She exploited a child with pornography and engaged in illegal sexual activity to a minor. It doesn't matter whether you had time of your life or not. You can't be both perpetrator and victim, period! You were a innocent victim. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Would you have done it to a 14 as an adult in her age? No way! She is a sick pedophile and yet you were blamed in part for her crime. You should had been given all the support and assistance to heal and move on with your life.
Best wishes to you in getting professional help. If and when you are ready, criminal and/or civil justice would be another step of process in taking your power back.

Hi MTM, I read your site you posted the other day. I am extremly proud of you for pursuing political career. You are running for the City council? You are the first ex-JW politician I know of. You have such a lovely family as well. Looking at your happy and well adjusted family photo almost made me cry. I could only pictured what you and your family might had gone through, but you've come out so proudly. I wish more ex-JWs follow your footstep.
You are out there fighting the good fight. Your former associates can only dream your conviction. Do you really care their reaction? I sure don't. Fortunately, JWs are out of my sight, by their choice but mine.
Congratulations!!
( I didn't save your sites. What was it again?)

Would you go running back?
by Nambo inif the tribulations started tomorrow, and all you knew of the bible was what the jws had told you, would you suddenly think, "they said this would happen, and it is, therefore they must be right", and go running back?.
or would you think, "just because eventually biblical prophiesies came to pass that "they" had read you from the bible, doesnt mean they are the chosen religion, because they get all these other doctrines wrong", and know these doctrines well enough to be able to convince yourselves.. .
replies such as "it wont happen cause its a fairy story" wont really help..

The last thing I will do is running back to the Kingdom Hall. If, in infact, the Jehovah's Witnesses were right about God's wrath toward unrighteousness at Armageddon, woe for them. They will be shock to find out it is none other than "the Watchtower" that's the one warned in the Bible among those would received unfavorable judgement. Following are some reference scriptures that describe the character of those who would be doomed.
Ezekiel chapter 34. Matthew chapter 23. John chapter 9. Acts 20: 28-30. Proverbs 6:17-19 1 Cor. 13: 1-3. I would do nothing dramatic but keep doing what I normally do. -
