just wondering if your name describes what you saw, how you were treated when you were "in" or now "out", maybe your personality, ect.... i'm label licker and the why i picked this name was because of all the licking up one side of elders and down the other to either be an elder or ministerial servant.
one time i was standing right in front of this brother who wasn't made an ms yet and he totally ignored me and talked right over my head speaking really loud trying to catch the co's attention.. got sick of watching the poor elderly sitting all alone or standing against the wall like a wall flower with noone to talk to and yet all these label lickers would take turns picking up the elders elderly parents and take them shopping and do their groceries at least four times a week while out in service, yet, there was noone there to take a meal to a sister who just got out of the hospital with a heart attack.
when i had shown up at her apartment with a meal she asked if i could wash her private and change her bandages.

hello to the vast apostate army!
i have exciting news to share.
my new romance novel debuts today on curiosity quills press as a serial novel.
I just love Thursdays!
Such a shame this is the last one, but I enjoyed them all.
Many, many thanks!
writing and speaking is all about communication.. if we are casually engaged the level of precision vanishes.
simple ideas=simplified language.. but, as we attempt to convey accuracy, specificity and numerical precision--what then?
without a clear standard is proper communication headed for extinction?.
Btw, in school last year, for each assignment 25% of our grade would be on spelling alone and another 25% on presentation and style. Sounds crazy, I know, but it sure gets you to pull your socks up!

But, does the continued slacking off have an unforeseen result?
It sure does when it comes to writing a group thesis and half the team can't be fussed to write it properly the first time round. The time it takes to check and correct a lazy writer, you could rewrite the whole thing yourself in less. (We're talking hours lost, not minutes.)
It drives me nuts as it is such a needless waste of time. Would rather have that time to waste elsewhere!
i came on jwd a year ago tomorrow, having realized that jws were not the truth, quite painfully, on march 29, 2008. i was here within a week, and within 2 months i was officially dad by my congregation.. ever since joining, i have never actually wrote down a comprehensive look at why i left the organization.
what doubts caused me to leave?
why did a gilead grad leave what i once considered so precious?.
I just got the same thing.
Go to People, Blogs and click on Gilead Grad's Guide

badges are coming to distinguish real christian effort!
1. badges: i want my badge to be different from the other brothers and sisters badges coming!
the society has realized they can't live without us and now they are giving us a little something extra ,it's going to be a blast!
Were you never encouraged to wear a badge when doing street work? I would never have been dead with one, but many jumped for the idea like a fish to water, and you could see them walking down the street with lovely flashy tracts pinned to their chests. They thought they looked wonderful. To be sure I either skipped out of service on those days or would suggest doing calls or something just to make sure I wasn't partnered with any of those guys.
not sure where i should post this?.
last year i got into home canning.
this year i sooooo want to make homemade tomato sauce, but i'll need a food mill to do it because it's too time consuming to de-seed 52 jars worth of tomatoes.. i've been online looking at customer reviews for various brands and models, but now i'm just a muddled mess.reviews speak about multiple uses and the pros and cons, but i only want it for tomato sauce/spaghetti sauce.. do any of you use a food mill for homemade tomato sauce?
What does everyone have against tomato seeds?
As for canning, I can see why you want to do it, but just check (unless of course you're an old hand at canning) carefully about how to can tomatoes as if they are not canned properly they can become very toxic.
Personally, if I had the freezer space and as many tomatoes as you I would freeze my sauce, but then again as many have already said, making sauce is so quick and easy...
Didn't know there were different brands and models for food mills. I would go for one that looks all metal and pretty sturdy like an Italian Nonna would use. They will work through your sauce in no time, and get rid of all the skins - which means you don't have to chop all your tomatoes.
several years ago, whenever i got a talk slip i would get really nervous but accept it and work on it almost immediately.
of course that was way back when i still believed it all.. now they gave me a #3 talk out of the blue about a month ago and i had forgotten all about it till the meeting night.
i really thought about not showing up at all but at the last minute, i decided to go.. so when i got there the meeting had already started and so i just stayed in the back looked at the info, found 2 scriptures and then without any notes i went up and gave the stupid talk!.
Never really thought they took me that long until I woke up and discovered I could literally write them out in less time than it took to actually give them.
while looking at the pdf of the new "reduced in size is a blessing from jah" wt for january 2013, i noticed this latest sickening "how the bible changed my life" article.
under the history banner is listed "prodigal son".
(i also noted the person was born the same year as me.
As I recall, when the Prodigal Son was on his way home the Father ran out to meet him before he even got all the way back to the house. The Father hugged and kissed him making him feel welcomed and loved.
While he was yet a long way off, his father caught sight of him and was moved with pity, and he ran and fell upon his neck and tenderly kissed him. - Luke 15:20
At the KH, when a "Prodigal Son" returns he or she will be told to sit in the corner quietly and be shunned for an indeterminate period of time, usually many months,
before they will be allowed to talk to anyone else in the congregation.
Exactly, and the father didn't have a clue about the "heart condition" of his son, after all, in their day and age cell phones and the like had yet to be invented!
i picked it up in a 2nd hand shop .
