  ah.....Ludwig!

  does anyone remember a little cartoon in the 1970's, in which the main character was a egg-like crystal(?

  ) creature named ludwig?

  when it came on, ludwig would fly into the scene with a little propeller, to the tune of a little violin musical ditty (beethoven, i assume).

  Partaking of the emblems

  i've always been curious as to the reasons why only "the anointed" were permitted to partake of the emblems at the memorial.

  we all know that the wtbts says the "other sheep" are the non-anointed christians who merely observe the memorial (by the way, by "other sheep" jesus was talking about the gentiles that would become part of the new covenant; he wasn't referring to some strange class of non-anointed christians).

  they've often compared the situation to the foreigners in the congregation of israel who were not permitted to observe the passover (see exodus 12:38, 43 -- they draw this correlation because the memorial is the replacement for the passover observance).

  I'm not positive I would havee to ask but I think it has to do with (partaking of the emblems) Heavenly class can consist of Jew or Gentile(Gentile meaning anyone who is not a Jew)
  I'm not sure if thats what your getting at I just took a shot.

  Sorry but U can't be baptized!

  if anyone is interested, i have a question about baptism.. i know that in the bible jesus told his disciples to go and gather up all people .

  who were willing to listen and make disciples of them baptizing them etc..etc..etc... so basically there would be a kinda pyramid effect taking place from that moment.

  in time and on until the end of this system of things.

  It has been a long time since I read from this thread. Thanks for your coments I do appreciate your opinion. You have studied WTBTS doctrins for a long time?
  It did always seem to me that a proper baptizim had to be in the same manor as Jesus. But on the other hand I don't see how that could be physically possible in our time. Not to mention that JWs don't exactly go down to the river. All of the baptizims I've been to were always either in a big DOBoy pool along side the stadium or inside in a smaller doboy pool. I remember once watching a friend get baptized her elbow stuck up out of the water, she had to get a re-do. I thought that was rather funny. I never gave it any thought before that but they had to make sure that her entire body was completely under water. I don't know if that was the general rule or if it was just something they decided was nessesary to be on the safe side.
  No matter. I think it's either in your heart or it's not. I know to many who are baptized and couldn't begin to tell you why because in the Christanity department they're behavior and attitudes are less then second to my pit bull. I can't believe that thats perfectly alright as long as they took a dip in water in front of 10,000 or so witnesses.

  i just happened to glance a the date as i was posting 2-13-02. one day before valentines day.

  i realized that i don't have a valentine.

  i subscribe to the idea that it is better to be alone and wish you were with someone than be with someone and wish you were alone.

  Micheal the ArcAngel/Jesus the man

  i understand that a lot believe that micheal and jesus are one in the same some believe that jehovah and jesus are one in the same some believe that one is the son of god yadda yadda yadda.. would some of you please address or post your reasons for believing that micheal the arc angel was not gods first creation and why he couldn't be the one sent to us to be born as a man and become our savyor?

  why would he not have another name fitting his role as a man on earth?

  he obviously wouldn't be living on earth as a child growing up as an angel.

  Thanks for the response. Everytime I read through Rev. I pick up on things I didn't the prior time.
  As far as exactly how the JWs view all of this I can only offer a basic idea. I would always listen to what was taught but I didn't always agree. I've listened to many takes on the Bible over the years and I have been very stuborne when it came to my own opinions.
  I think I am going to go back and read through it again and keep your statements in mind and see if I come up with something different.

  hi everyone, i just looked at my profile the other day and realized that i'd started posting over a year ago.

  in some ways it all seems so short this past year, like a blur in my life.

  yet i feel that i've gotten to know so many of you so well, i can't believe it's only been a year.. one thing that's really strange for me is the fact the no one i talk to or know has known me for more then 2 years!!!
