  how much interest has this little critter caused lol, so many threads created in his honor.

  the dubbies probably won't even take the time to watch the dvd, they'll just be so happy that the dc is over for another year.

  shame really because it's such an eye opener.. peace.

  Occasional feelings of sadness about the JW experience

  do you feel occassionally sad when you flash back at your life as a jw, may be you occassionally become overshadowed by regrets and bitter feelings and not knowing exactly what caused it.. some regretted wasted life while others regretted being trapped in what they feel was a cult.

  do you experience anything similar.

  how do you usually surmon up courage to stand up and forge ahead?.

  I had a lovely house will a big garden, I sold it and moved to serve where the need might be greater, Iam now stuck in a poky little flat that I detest and am too old to return to my former position.

  I also rejected all offers of Love from "wordly" girls during my attractive years, whereas Sisters would be told I wasnt "Spiritual enough", Iam now an old man who has missed the (Love) boat and can only imagine the happiness that could have been mine as I face the certainty of a lonely, miserable and wasted existance, my lovely children who will never be born.

  back in 2003/4 when i was living in truth or consequences, new mexico there was this sister and her non witness husband that moved into our area.

  it was plain to see that the sister was suffering from serious mental problems.

  she was a very nice lady, but was unstable a lot of the time.

  Where was Jehovah for people before The WTS?

  i was just wondering, since the wts claims its the only true religion, and channel to god, where was jehovah for the people before the wts?.

  how did they get to know truths?

  i know it was "prophesied" that the true religion will die down, and come back at the end of the system, but um.... where was god for the poor people who didnt have th wts?.

  Re your last line, I would say that as we havnt come to the end of the system yet, (though I belive it will be soon, just not 100 years ago), then the true religion will indeed come back, but it wont be a religion of man, it will be led by Jesus himself, it will be announced by the "Two Witnesses" who will perform the signs from the Bible in a literal sence, not the figurative sense the JWs put on all prophesy in a way that they can make apply to them.

  As for who the "Two Witneses" will be? maybe Elijah and Moses, or two existing Humans, but one of them certainly wont be the Satanic Pyramid as the Witnesses claim.

  Maybe this answers your first question as well, as the JWs are not the true religion, then mankind is at present in exactly the same position as it was before the IBSA, namely that God is available to any who sincerely want to fnd him.

  As for Truth, its allways been in the Bible, when its required to know more specific "truths", then the high Priest Jesus will reveal it as per Daniel 12, it will be differant from the JWs "wise understanding" because, coming from Jesus, it will be correct from the start, and wont have to keep being revised and changed.

  i have a question that needs answering.

  for years i have read on this board ex-jws, born-agains, and other anti-jw group condemn jws for "false prophecies".

  Rather than bringing up "false Prophets", why not bring up something else like the Generation teaching where Jesus himself says "Truly I tell you this generation will not pass away" and "Heaven and Earth will pass awat but my words will never pass away", yet that is what the Watchtower has done, thier own failed doctrine of man is more important to them than the words of Jesus, so in thier own eyes, they have said that Jesus is wrong so that they can be right.

  at 18 after the quick build at our hall i gave up on a career {except window/toilet cleaning} and became a rabid pioneer/servant who, get this...made a plastic sleeve necklace so i could put my blood card in it!!!

  i had one in my wallet and one hanging on my neck.. can anyone beat that?

  fast forward to 2001 when fractions became a "conscience matter..." i remember shaking my head during that watchtower study...i destroyed my blood cards and asked my doctor to put me down as "no religion.

  Surely with Jesus admonison to cut off various parts of ones body if it made you stumble, and the Watchtowers stern ruling against pulling the pud, there has to be someone who cut his goolies off?, That would be fanatical.

  I did wonder if that would be my only option if I wanted to be a genuine JW rather than a pretend one who didnt actually fullfill all the requirements.

  A brother in my congreagation enquired of his doctor if he could be chemically castrated, and he was married!, even JW wives it seemed to me were programmed to ensure you allways had a cross to bear.

  Now, If you did attack yourself with a Stanley knife in order to Biblically do Gods will, would the society put you on the podiam at assemblies and give you your own chapter in Young People Ask, or would they disfellowship you for mutilating the body God gave you?

  Would that be considered ironic?

  who are doing jehovah's will today?.

  something i found a bit strange - that is the title of the brochure but on page three it asks - what is god's will?

  and it says "god wants us to live in peace and happiness on a paradise earth forever!".

  " Some of the genuine annointed will still be on Earth when the tribulations come", well I should hope they are otherwise they have no chance of being killed in the manner of the original disiples, the following scripture doesnt say they die of old age.

  Wonder what excuse the society will come up with when all the "genuine" annointed have died peacefully in their beds and the tribulations and persecutions of Gods people has yet to take place but there is nobody left to fullfill Revelation 6 v 11

  Soundtrack to the Watchtower's financial meltdown

  yes, i know we're possibly many decades away from the society becoming nothing more than a faint blip on the religious radar, but it strikes me that the rot has well and truly started.

  last year saw an unprecedented 16% drop in branches, and this year's figure by all accounts will also show a decrease in branches.

  added to this, the society have slashed their monthly magazine printing commitments by 50% in only 7 years.

  Whilst I personaly consider Babylon the Great to be Jerusalem, I think this song fits as the WT are just as much a part of false religion as the rest of Christendom so let it share the fate it proscribes to others.

  I actually loved field service

  that might seem odd, but it really suited my personality.

  even before i became a jw i was annoying people with personal questions.

  the thing is that it's sort of ok in normal land to do that as a cult member, but not as a "normal citizen".. .

  I loved it too gubberningbody, though not for the confrontational thing, I actually thought I was being a diciple of Jesus, and prior to joining the Dubbs, I had been a very non-communitive person, suddenly though, I had something to talk about and siezed it at every oppurtunity.

  So much so in fact, that I would be ringing up Pioneers, trying to get them to come out of the field service in the eveinings when I was home from work, those that did enjoyed far more productive field service when people where home than thier usual habbit of knocking on empty doors in the mornings.

  You get out of things what you put in, I had pioneers express thier jealousy at the amount of RVs and studies I had. I look back on what I got away with with amazement, people think its bad being knocked on at 9 am on a Saturday morning, well imagine its 9:30 pm on a dark foggy evening in the countryside, and people would answer the door to find me wanting to talk about God, yet people where so receptive!, maybe I was more interesting and shocking than whatever rubbish was on the TV.

  In the end, I was given my own map, even though I wasnt a Pioneer, and I would go out on my own as it was so hard to get others too, that is the very best ministry you can have, when you are on your own, householders probably are intemidated to have two people preaching on thier doorstep.one is far more acceptable.

  Doing the Ministry out of genuine Love for God rather than fear of men, also brought benifits in the form of Holy Spirit, sometimes I would be in such a Spiritual high by the time I got home, that I would ask God to please take it away so I could get to sleep.

  Its the only part of my life I feel truly proud of, though in restrospect obviously the Witness doctrines of men sully the work, but getting people to think about God and the Bible, I would still do, and in fact do do at work, I still Witness about the Bible, but leave out the JW stuff, and people are less reluctant to listen when you lose the JW stigma.

  Just as you say, you can no longer go knocking on peoples doors to do it.
