Yorkshire Ripper (brother Peter Sutcliffe) vouches for Jimmy Savile
by oldlightnewshite inhttp://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4629105/peter-sutcliffe-claims-jimmy-savile-is-innocent.html.
according to the yorkshire ripper, a repentant psychopath who is now a jehovah's witness in prison, jimmy savile is just being exploited because he can't refute any of the 300 allegations of molestation and rape.
there are some who think that jimmy savile may even have had a psychopathic personality.

can we earn our salvation by preaching?
by solomon inare you trying to earn salvation by your door-to-door ministry?no.
we engage regularly in our door-to-door ministry, but we dont believe that we earn our salvation by doing such work.
(ephesians 2:8) why not?.

Ive thought of a slightly more honest JW version of their comparison, so have made a subtle adjustment:-
Are You Trying to Earn Salvation by Your Door-to-Door Ministry?
No. We engage regularly in our door-to-door ministry, but we don’t believe that we earn our salvation by doing such work. (Ephesians 2:8) Why not?
Think of this comparison: Imagine that a benevolent man promised a gift of $100,000 cash, (gift to be given any day now, hurry in case you miss your "free" gift)to everyone who showed up at a certain location every day until "free gift" day, (or for the rest of your life which ever occurs sooner) from 9am to 5pm and shovelled 16 tons of coal, (It is importsant to note that any given failure to carry out said instructions to shovel 16 tons of coal, unpaid, everyday for whatever reason, forfeits the afore-mentioned totally free gift depite previous e.g.45 years of compliance). If you really believed the man’s promise, even if you knew he had promised "free gift" day was nearly here for at least 100 years, would you follow his instructions? No doubt! Likely, you would also tell your friends and family about the opportunity, so that they too could benefit from it. Even so, you wouldn’t earn the gift by following the man’s instructions. The gift is still a gift. Providing of course you have shovelled 16 tons everyday for the past 45 years for no pay in order to qualify for your"free gift".
Likewise, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe the Governing bodys promise of everlasting life for all who obey and work for them unpaid. (Romans 6:23) We endeavor to share our faith with others, hoping that they will benefit us from our promises. But we don’t believe that we earn our salvation by engaging in our ministry. (allthough you can be sure you aint going to get it if you dont!).(Romans 1:17; 3:28) Really, no human could ever do enough to merit such an astounding blessing from God. “ He saved us because of his mercy, and not because of any good things that we have done. ”—Titus 3:5, Contemporary English Version. Albeit said mercy has to be earned, at least according to Watchtower Bible and Tract society.

"My wife and I were in London a few years ago during the Guy Fawkes holiday. Obnoxious kids roaming the streets come up to you and demand "a penny for the Guy!""
I cant remember the last time I saw a kid in London do that Glander, did they actually have a Guy or just demand money?
Back in the 60s we would make a Guy out of old clothes stuffed with newspaper and lean him against a wall by a tobaconist or off-license, all the kids made Guys, bodies everywhere, looked like the day after armageddon.
And the fireworks, the following morning on my paper-round the streets were literaly littered with rockets, guess fireworks were cheap back then, you see nothing like that now.
Best firework we had was made by a friend with an engineering bent, we were about 13 at the time, it was made from metal rather than paper, and then packed with the gunpowder from very many rockets, actually it was crap thinking about it, it sort of shot up so fast and just seemed to keep on going.

It was just a couple of years after this when one of the older boys in the home convinced us younger ones that if Russia got to the Moon before America, they were going to use the Atomic bomb on us, no logic to this but when you are 5 gullibility ensured from that moment on, we felt us if we were standing under the Sword of Damocles.
And then when we went to school, Infants still, we would be shown horrific films of people melting with advice on how to survive a Nuclear attack by taking a door off its hinges so you could shelter under it.
As a child, I was in mortal fear of a coming armageddon long before I ever heard of the Jehovahs Witnesses.

Have the British military invaded your country - see map for details
by besty in.
every schoolboy used to know that at the height of the empire, almost a quarter of the atlas was coloured pink, showing the extent of british rule.. but that oft recited fact dramatically understates the remarkable global reach achieved by this country.. a new study has found that at various times the british have invaded almost 90 per cent of the countries around the globe.. .

So at work at the Houses of Parliament during the tourist season, some fella who works there came up to me and made some disparaging remark about German tourists to which he imagined I would join him in his bigotry,
I said, "what do you mean?"
He replied, "well you know what the Germans are like at invading other countries"
I replied, "I think you will find we have exceeded Hitlers tally of invading other countries since then"
He looked most offended and stormed off without a word, wouldnt remember him to know if he ever spoke to me again.

With 70 people on that one truck, it must have looked like the picture Scott posted.
I wonder if they are all from the same congregation, imagine that, your whole insular community decimated, those 40 injured, they are probably going to need some looking after, and despite its oil wealth, I dont think much finds its way to the people in Nigeria.
Every meeting those 20 empty seats are going to bring it all back.

Well it looks to me like the only ones Jesus kills are those who take military action against him, and those that accepted the Mark of the Beast.
So, long as you avoid these two things, you should be OK.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords .
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Entire Family, 20 Others Die in Fatal Accident
Tragedy struck weekend in Akwa Ibom State as a man, his wife and all their children, as well as more than 20 others, all members of the Jehovah’s Witness Church, perished in a fatal road accident which occurred, Friday, along the Utu Etim Ekpo road in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of the state.
Forty other members of the church sustained varying degrees of injuries following in the crash which occurred on their way to the Jehovah’s Witness annual convention ground in Ikot Ekpene Local Government area of the state.
THISDAY’s gathered that more than 70 members of the church had hired a lorry to convey them from Ukanafun Local Government Area to Ikot Ekpene for the annual district convention which began on Friday and billed to end today (Sunday) but the journey ended half way with many members of the church dying on the road in the accident.
Eyewitnesses alleged that the driver of the lorry conveying the church members to the venue of the convention lost control of the vehicle when he got to Utu Etim Ekpo, the junction opposite the local government secretariat, and hit the stone used to construct the roundabout, thus resulting in the lorry somersaulting, leaving many of its passengers and others wounded.
The corpses and those injured in the accident were said to have been taken to neighbouring hospitals and mortuaries.
One of the eyewitnesses, Mr. Friday John, said the people who died may have been more than what was seen because a whole family including parents and their children were all trapped in the accident.“We were all here discussing when suddenly the lorry appeared and was looking like the driver had lost control of it. Then the lorry drove straight and hit the stone and somersaulted into the gutter.
“Many people died, more than 18. In fact, we couldn’t count the number because there were many corpses, including husband, wife and children and they were all taken to the mortuary in various hospitals near Etim Ekpo here,” John explained.
In another narration, a Secondary School teacher in Eka Uruk Eshiet Etim Ekpo, Mr. Ndipmo Nkanta, said the lorry boarded by the deceased and the injured passengers was not meant for passengers but goods only.
He blamed the accident on poverty , arguing that if there was a better alternative, such casualties wouldn’t have been recorded, especially as they were going to worship God.
The Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in the state, Mr. Godsgift Uwen, blamed the incident on over-speeding and overloading by the driver of the lorry.
He said the lorry was not supposed to carry any passenger as it was a meant for goods only but the driver stubbornly used it as a passenger’s vehicle, which led to the sad incident.
He advised against rush and drunken driving, especially in the yuletide, noting that these are some of the major causes of accidents on the roads.

Sorry Healthworker, allthough as allready stated, my Lifes purpose was the protection and wellbeing of our slimey friends, my post to Glander could be construed as most relevant to this thread as it demonstates my lifes purpose actually in action!
