never ever give up. my apostate mother and that whoe side of the family has been trying to get through to me sense i was a child. when i finally awakened all the things they have said to me over the years rushed back to my memory in flashbacks. repressed thoughts and memory are not erased memories. now that i know the truth about the cult i have plans to reconnect with my astranged familiy.

guilt tripping isn't working!

he asked me how i was doing and i smiled real big and told him i was doing wonderful!!!
he was completely confused because i think i was supposed to be feeling bad and guilty for not going out in service and feeling like the wrath of jehovah was upon me.

whahappened I've had the same thing happen to me. No one calls accept the elders to be nosy and I usually let it go to voice mail and then erase it. 2 weeks after spilling the beans to my wife she has convinced herself I was just having a little bipolar fit. One day the elders are going to force my hand and the sh**t will hit the fan. The Jahooba mafia at my hall doesn't like people fading. They will come to your work constantly and upset my boss because they distract me from my work. My dad has started to drill on me about the meetings and attempt to guilt trip me but only succeeds in pissing me off. I'm still in limbo with whether I can eventually turn my wife and hopefully with time I can accept the consequences and have courage to stand up. I want them to know that I'm happy outside of the "cult" though. I'm trying my best not to become bitter.

He didn't know what to do after that lol Anyway have similar stories? I even had an elder ask me the same thing one time and I he said "no your not alright" and walked off.

I ask this question in all honesty and naivety to see where the truth of the matter lies. What is all of this money spent on? Who personally benefits from all this massive wealth? The GB doesn't have lavish summer vacationing properties anywhere do they? Do they really live simple lives or do they secretly have expensive creature comforts? Are they just a product of Mind Control too or do they know exactly what they are doing and planning on someday retiring to some island where they will never be found? Are they so self deluded that they think that they actually are God's mouthpiece or do they know they are faking it? They must know the history of themselves because they alter their own history.
Any ideas?

How did all the diversity and unique life that has been discovered in the past century in the south american rain forests and austrailia get from the Ark to there respective places? How did all the millions of unique species of flora and fuana that are dependant on there respective ecosystems survive in one ark?
If it was so important then why didn't God just recreate them instead of creating such an impossible task for Noah?
If Jehovah is a perfect God then why did he create Dinosaurs just to then turn around and have them destroyed not once but several times? Did God really need an eraser on his creation pencil?
Why would a Loving God create Parasites that kill people everyday? Why would he create viruses?
Why would he create animals designed to rip flesh from bones if his purpose was for them to eat grass and be completely tranquil and peaceful with everyone.
Why do we see an ecosystem that strikes a perfect balance with all living things via predator or prey food chain system?
We now know that we are all related by our DNA. If we were individually created by god should not every DNA pattern be unique in everyway with no relation to any other creature? Yet we see that certian parts of our DNA are simply switches that have been turned off or discarded because we no longer needed them.
If birds didn't come from dino's then how the hell did scientists recently manage to manipulate genes found in chickens that are also found in Raptors to give them teeth?
If we are supposed to live forever then why have scientists found that the sun has a finite amount of expendable energy before it super nova's and destroys the solar system?
If we are supposed to live forever why is it known that the Andromedia and Milkyway Galaxy will eventually murge there by destroying everything and then rebirthing into a new Galaxy? Does anyone remember seeing the computer model in the new "the wonders of God's Creation" video where this is shown happening as a simulation yet they seem to think we are all too stupid to know what is happening there? I think I remember them comparing it to a magnificent ordered ballet. *snickers*
I really wanna have fun with this thread so please add to this list of simple bible doctrine logic busters! I encourage some of the more diligent students of science to add there evidence and sources supporting these simple questions. Have you been brave enough to ask other active JW's some of these questions and what kind of non answers have you been given?
