If you define magic as the sort of elemental magic in D&D, LOTR, and the Hobbit then its totally fiction. If you define it as misdirection, slight of hand, illusion, delusion and mind control then I'd say the Witchtower is sending out black magic by the truck load almost as if they are mount doom from mordor.

are we crazier than we used to be?
by Xanthippe inthere seem to be so many tv programmes about horders whose houses are filled with rubbish that they can't throw out, peope with claustrophobia or other phobias, people with depression or anxiety illness.
i am not being accusatory because i've had depression but i'm just wondering what on earth is society doing to us?.
has there always been this level of mental health problems and they are just being given a label now and help is finally being offered?

James Brown you have pointed out a painful reality in USA. We throw our crazy people in jail instead of giving them the very help that they desperately need. I think it is shameful to leave the mentally impaired on their own with no options. It is a shame on our culture when many of these disorders are treatable but only if you are well enough to have the sense to take them and have the money to avail yourself of it. It's a Catch 22 because these people usually can't keep a job in order to get insurance in the first place. I think many homeless ones today are in this situation and if only they got some needed help they could pull themselves out of that situation. :(

Not as well as gandalfs staff. it certainly wont help you defeat a balrog or dragons. that is to say leave magic to fantasy books where it belongs.

This very ironic because it is the bone marrow that is responsible for making blood. Idiotic doctrines indeed.

Some friday morning reflections
by Gorbatchov injust reading all the aawa related topics this morning and it makes me really sad.
i'm not related to aawa, just a fader in western europe and a longtime member of h2o and later on jwd.. it makes me sad to see what's the legacy of the watchtower society religion: kgb style betrayal of family members, making screenshots of facebook group members, just to betray their christian brother and sister to the elders, to interrogate them, try to confess their faults and correct them aggressively.
this behaviour places our religion definitly at the dark pages of history.. it makes me sad to see that some group of good peope, forming an association, then some things going wrong with the important and sacred topic named privacy.

Do you follow your " spirit directed " conscience and bible principles?
by DATA-DOG invincent toole, solicitor for the jehovah's witnesses, said the fact that the church got working with children checks had nothing to do with steven unthank, whom he suggested was behind the court case.
''we find it disappointing that he continues to misrepresent our organisation.''........
....''jehovah's witnesses abhor child abuse, and place the protection of children at the highest level,'' he said.. .
