  Goodbye to JWD ... hello to JWN !

  as i announced some time ago, jwd as it is will not continue .... ... but .... it's clear from people's comments that they do like the site and many would like it or something else like it to continue.. one issue was the forum software that was self-developed and not really in a good state to hand-over to anyone but i've been working on that and can now reveal the first release of what will probably be called jwn (son of jwd):.

  it is still work-in-progress so not all features are enabled yet but it will allow you to browse the site in a similar way to this one and it is pointing at the same database (although because of the way the caching works, new posts made on this site won't appear immediately).

  i thought jw's were supposed to be politically neutral.

  prince lives and proselytizes in l.a., and he came out in favor of the republican party and strongly for proposition 8 (the anti-gay marriage amendment that won the popular vote in california two weeks ago).. this guy is confused.

  The People's Temple sacrificed their children, giving them Kool Aid with arsenic and cyanide because their leader told them to.

  JWs sacrifice literally sacrifice their children by prohibiting life saving blood transfusions, and figuratively by denying them an advanced education. WHY? Because their leaders (GB) tell them to.

  democrats will be voting this tuesday nov 4.. republicans are assigned to vote on wednesday nov 5 between 7am and 7pm.. please bring your republican id card on wednesday to facilitate a smooth election day..

  Newly Built Greece Bethel Sold and Old One Kept

  a jw contact in germany who is involved in international wt building projects said that jw in greece are upset.

  the old bethel buildings there had allegedly become too small and jw in greece were in need of a new building, a bigger one.

  when the new one was finished, the old buildings could not be sold.

  Boring bookstudy book...which one was the worst?

  i remember the old timers saying that the red babylon book was the hardest to understand.. in my memory, i'd have to say the isaiah books and daniel book were the most involved and boring.. the revelation book had gorgeous pictures in it (the writing was horribly boring), so i just looked at them, and i was 22 at the first study of it!.

  Isaiah Volumes I and II without a doubt the worst, most atrocious "commentary" ever written! How dare they apply everything dealing with "faithful" Israel to themselves and everything to do with the unfaithful Israelites to Christendom! What a load of utter refuse! I hated conducting that BS with a passion!!!!
