she doesnt have a driver's license, so i took her.. in the waiting room, with the magazines were a copy of atalaya (watchtower) and despertad (awake).
it'd be nice to think they were left by a jw who decided then and there that she'd had enough of the lies, but from what i gathered on jwn, it was probably a lazy publisher counting it as perpetual service hours.. anyway, on the back of both, i left the message "for more information about jehovah's witnesses please google candace conti.".

I'll be moving to central Connecticut in March and working in Brooklyn, NY so the fight will be much more fun.

We all have a common goal on here. To Jehovah's Witnesses and their Apologists, that goal is destruction of Truth and the downfall of Jehovah's Witnesses. But that's not our goal. Be it disfellowshipped, disassociated, fader, doubter, almost was to never was, our goal is life without the Watchtower Society. We do it by warring with Jehovah's Witnesses, educating people on REAL truth, supporting those ready to leave, or outright ignoring anything towing the Watchtower Society company line.
I've always hated the idea of saying anyone was better than someone else. But the truth is undeniable that the majority of membership on JWN (www.jehovahs-witness.net) ARE better than loyal Jehovah's Witnesses. And if "better" is too broad a word, then a better quality of people.
You show empathy and compassion for your fellow man regardless of race, religion, or club membership. You show love without redefining the word to suit you. You show your content of character as you help a former Witness adjust despite him/her belittling you for your beliefs justs days or weeks prior. Some of you even invite Jehovah's Witnesses into your homes knowing they will tell you your beliefs are wrong, when a Jehovah's Witness will NEVER invite you to their residence BECAUSE of your beliefs.
It serves alot to remove more people from the control of the Watchtower Society. A life without the Watchtower Society opens people up to being better.
I propose a mass exodus from the Watchtower Society, and no, I'm not talking about a concerted effort to wake up the Blue Pills. I'm talking about the faders and the doubters, and possibly the inactives. These ones, these people count toward the 7.5 million member boast but faders and doubters are no more Jehovah's Witnesses than the disfellowshipped and disassociated. They want to be out but have common fears (loss of family and friends, harassment and persecution, possibly losing employment with a Jehovah's Witness employer, etc.). And they are all valid fears, but my intention with a mass exodus like this is to provide a statistical idea to the Blue Pills that there is something rotten in the city of Brooklyn.
But would it work? Say we can convince a multitude of faders and doubters to formally disassociate themselves on the same day or the same week. Would it make any kind of impact?
JWN alone covers North and South America, the United Kingdom, parts of Europe and Africa, and Canada with thousands of members. Among them are hundreds of faders and doubters. Among the membership are hundreds to thousands of contacts and connections to doubters and faders who dont frequent these websites.
The numbers to make an impact I feel ARE there, but stat analyzers and trend evaluators like @Cedars and @JWFacts would have to confirm it.
Would it even be possible to coordinate?
The JWN community has access to respectable public figures like Barbara Anderson and Lady Lee as well as Rights activists in the support of Bill Bowen and Steven Unthank. Media circulation would be suitable for writers like @Terry and @Balaamsass, with circulators like @Atlantis, @Anony Mous, and @JWLeaks.
The resources to coordinate ARE there,
I'm not well-versed in JWN membership but from many of the threads and articles posted here, it's undeniable that an event like this would begin on a site with infinite resources like the people of JWN possess. The leadership is here among the masses to ignite the fire of a movement (not me).
But would it work?

sad when you see that michael jackson was disfellowshipped for being famous and this girl gets to claim good standing while painting her tatas on a magazine.
if you want to get technical, jws have not "disfellowshipped" anyone publicly in several years.

i noticed no one seemed to notice the wts toot their own horn. it could have simply read that katty wanted to talk to gabriela as a friend. but they had her ask about the convention so they could say it was beautiful.
highlight the beauty of an indoctrination course that begs witnesses for extra money but do it subtle so its an afterthought.
after all the point is to instruct witnesses to shun the inactive for whatever reason. they could take time to put in the quip about the convention but not what katty was doing to be considered unclean. so now the typical jdub just associates inactive with unclean.
might sound angry but sometimes i wish the governing body idolized the branch davidians.

this is what i love about the jw spite for logic. i have been telling my wife these same things and plastering similar statements of yahoo answers for weeks. one jw told me that i didnt know anything out bible truth or the jws and that i was just parroting what i heard from apostates.
i never met you. i am in a different age bracket than you. we dont have the same political views. you used to be a jw. i never was.
yet we came to the same conclusions on different roads of research with dissimilar minds.
you never read my yahoo answers. you didnt plagiarize me. you dont need to. truth is truth no matter where it comes from.
two dissimilar people came to the same conclusion because logic and critical thinking allowed them to see the forest through the trees.
i'm interested in this girl and shes a jw.
i went to the meetings and i was bored out of my mind.
i can see how the religion is very appealing to people.
the first time i went to church was for an apostolic girl. i wasnt in class as i had already finished school. but she was a coworker. other than that little difference i lived the story you described.
it started out being a means to get closer to her but to do that means knowing what she knows in the way she knows it.
the apostolic religion believes in chanting and speaking in tongues. they start and end each service with loud music and shouting and overly emotional outbursts. i couldnt go to one service without half of the congregation in tears.
it got to the point where i thought something is wrong with me because i couldnt show that level of emotion to god.
the thing is that in high control groups and cults the doctrine is designed to corrupt. studying the way she studies will make you feel the way about the cult doctrine the way she feels but if you dont believe it you will be at war with yourself.
i became a well versed agnostic because i couldnt believe like her.
and you will eventually find out she is a horrible person because of the group and you will never get the attention from her or the privacy you hope for because her time is designed to be organization property.
she wont be worth it and you will feel like your identity needs to be questioned from the toes to the scalp.
