@Besty Are you suggesting that I should run a site that just restates everything on Grundy's site while saying that 6,000 hits is Worldwide Coverage? I don't know, it seems like alot of hard work. Lol

I wanted to place this as a topic, but out of respect to the rules, and to not conflict Simon with what his law is compared to how he feels about the situation, it's a post on this thread:
John Cedars:
I missed the announcement of this group and came into the subject after the ball had been dropped. Since then, I've said on a few occasions that we shouldn't forget that John Cedars is a friend to this site, despite pointing out parallels between him and the Watchtower Society.
Cedars writes just like a Watchtower writer in prose and structure, as well as inflating the importance and statistics of the AAWA. The latter is important because this is a man who prides himself on analytical skill, yet he fudges numbers and reality with the best of the Governing Body.
Just as on jw.org, one can see what Cedars' version of the Organization has to say about reality according to the group, but Jeebus forbid is anyone can comment on it publicly. Hell, privately would work, but this imaginary person named Cedars won't allow that.
Simon busted his @$$ for you Cedars during this JWN outrage over your security breach. He corrected many who made blind accusations about yourself and the AAWA and closed threads he believed would do more damage than good for JWN, the AAWA, faders, lurkers, the df'd, the da'd, and one John Cedars. He publicly acknowledged his desire for JWN to not question or harass AAWA Board Members who were on JWN.
He offered your own board a level of respectability and reverance that you alone are denying them.
And John Cedars, the Invisible Man, you take the sum of JWN for all of everything they are, and you look down your imaginary nose at all of them as though they are apostates. I joked on a previous thread about your bull$#!+ puff piece "Eventful Journey" that at least you hadn't called JWN "mentally diseased."
Close. You came very very close, but gave all the same disgust and pompous arrogance that the Governing Body gave the thousands of members of JWN and the millions of members of Jehovah's Witnesses that found an exit, and worse, the potential millions of members looking for an exit.
The people who called you friend told you what you needed to do and you spit on all of them. You insulted the home Simon gave you and pissed in his Kool-Aid.
John Cedars, you failed. Fall on your sword and let the non-existent VP of the AAWA take over so you don't bring it down with you.

What is the difference between wearing makeup and and celebrating a birthday?
by I_love_Jeff inmost of the women mentioned in the bible who wore makeup were prostitutes.
jehovah's witnesses state that it is okay to wear a little makeup because the bible does not say it is not allowed.
according to jehovah's witnesses, there are two accounts of birthdays being celebrated in the bible and both had to do with beheadings/murders.

Three birthday celebrations. Job celebrated his sons' birthday and burned offerings for them, should they sin on their day. He was righteous and celebrated birthdays. No one died.
Wedding rings are pagan as well, but it doesn't stop Witnesses from wearing them. Honeymoons are pagan (The Honey Month) and last I checked, Witness approved.
Leviticus forbids shaving and men cutting their hair on the sides, but these are requirements by the Watchtower to be viewed as spiritually clean. I don't recall too many ties or suits made from threads from a single type of fabric.
You know, it's easier just to say the Watchtower is stupid and they don't know What The Bible Really Teaches (ha! See what I did there?)

As for staying on topic, I feel it to be a slap in the face of the people who support the AAWA by John Cedars to incorporate a group under a pseudonym while allowing a security breach to continue that outs private identities.
He's not Batman. He doesn't get to help people wearing a mask. Not if he wants to be taken seriously. And if he wants people to feel he can sympathize, he can take the same risks as anyone who signs up to volunteer or openly support his group.
Looking down from an ivory tower is not the way to relate to people.

@Las Malvinas: I intend no offense and apologize ahead of time for any I may cause you, but would it be at all possible to see a post of yours on an AAWA related thread that did not include the words "Arizona" or "Commission?" It really feels you are saying the same thing repeatedly and I've seen so many replies to your comments that this is something you should have had resolved personally by now.
Again, no offense intended and I apologize for any offense I cause.
@Sabastious: I will say this, Simon has a dickishness when it comes to his commentary on American politics during disasters. I even emailed him a while back about it. And I wasn't exactly nice. Do you know what that tyrant did to me? HE CLOSED MY ACCOUNT.
Oh wait. No he didn't. Simon brushed it off as he is personally entitled to do and let me keep going on with some of my tirades as well as my efforts to unionize ex-jws. He doesn't need people fighting his battles for him, but when he says a topic needs to be dropped, it needs to be dropped. On several of these AAWA threads, many accusations were made about Cedars (who we need to remember is a friend to JWN) without evidence or proof. Accusations were made about the board, which contains a respectable mod from JWN, again without merit. If those conversations were to continue, indeed Godwin's Law would have been proven at least a dozen times.
Cedars is Hitler.
The AAWA are the New Reich.
It's annoying as well as hazardous to relations on JWN. We have lurkers and people visiting for the first time and when they see people calling Cedars a criminal, they will disregard him and all of his associations. And all for accusations without evidences or proofs.
A tyrant would have blocked you the moment you said anything critical of him. There would have been no back and forth.
@JWN: Wakka Wakka Wakka

So, it turns out, I named four of the original board members of the AAWA back in January.
I suggested Cedars and Grundy for their organizational and analytical skills, as well as Marsh and Anderson for their public relations in the field relating to ex-JWs.
Good to see that not a one of them thought my idea was worth commenting on, but all of them agreed they would work fantastic together.
And it's refreshing to see that the AAWA's modest President suggests a European JWN moderator to Simon as though he's biased. Simon wakes up under the Queen's blue sky the same way Cedars does...as well as three out of eight of the founders of the AAWA.
Come to think of it, now that Anderson left, it's three out of seven. Oh, and when you take into account Bo Juel Jensen (Cedar's Besty), four out of seven fit Cedar's criteria for a happier world.

Wow! That's totally off-topic and quite demanding toward a woman whose track record means none of us could shine her shoes, let alone pry into her personal life.
The AAWA site said she left for personal reasons. She is one of a handful of people with mainstream credibility on here. If it's something worth sharing, or is any of our business, Barbara will tell us.

I've said my part on the subject earlier, but this thread is getting tense. Cedars did what he did and it looks like his trust or credibility are being called to question. He knows JWN doesn't buy into PR propaganda, so if he wants to clear it up, he knows where to go for it. Until then, we need to stop acting like an angry mob ready to lynch him.
Barbara Anderson has done more for exJWs than most of us combined. She is a respectable woman and has no debt so big that she needs to tell us why she does anything. If some day she feels the compulsion to tell us, we ought to be grateful she shared a part of her life with us.
Usually, I'm a pretty amped up about getting things done and getting answers. But say what you want about AAWA, leave the explanations be.

@AndDontCallMeShirley: Most likely a baptized JW lying. See, if he/she says they study with them, it puts a distance between the commenter and the Organization that offers neutrality to the unlearned.
On Yahoo Answers, there was a teenager who argued in favor of the WTS all the time. He claimed he had no religious affiliation and just believed in God, claiming that ALL religions were lies. He swore alot. He made threats. But most importantly, he identified himself as someone who wasn't a Witness, though he was always arguing in favor of them.
After exactly four minutes of research, his facebook page identified him as a Jehovah's Witness.

@Simon:
Isn't the quickest, simplest and safest solution to close the group immediately, then start a new one and only allow controlled membership with CLEAR description of what the implications of joining it are? IMO it appears people have become too obsessed with the body-count of members, that's the only thing I can imagine as a reason not to get this fixed ASAP
This. All of this.
These words sum up the direction the WTS should go and focuses on the major point of a body-count as the driving force for ignoring serious issues. Cedars has taken all he knows from his time as a Witness and started an outreach group that is being run in a directly similar fashion as the Organization.
Even the puff piece that labels the trouble-maker as an over-excited facebook user. The GB blamed the Rank and File for thinking 1975 and 1914 were going to happen, calling them over-zealous brothers.
As it's been stated on here, correcting the security issue would take five minutes. What you proposed would take a day.
