WTS visits Apostate Website! (again)
by Rado Vleugel inin february i reported that the watchtower society visited my website (click here for the february post).
i think they were a little frightened by this exposure and masked their identity while surfing apostate websites because i never saw them back in my stats.

Which did you prefer? Watchtower or Awake?
by LDH inwhen i was a jw, i really couldn't stomach the watchtowers.
the only articles i would read would be for the family study/watchtower study.
it seemed so archaic and old-people-ish.. i did read the awake from cover to cover almost every time.

How can I help a friend with shunning?
by In_between_days ini have a jw friend who has just had a close family member df'd.
she is really close to this person, and is basically his best friend, and all she had to lean on.
she now has to shun him.

THIS WT ORG crap --- I myself do as I damn well please..I for the most part uphold their shunning policy and constantly remind them of my stand with their ORG when they forget and want to share a bible verse or 2 and their literature NONE of which WE R interesed in..IT is my decision as to when I choose to talk or not talk to anyone not someone else telling me to...I TALK TO MYSELF A LOT / talk to the TV and talk to LISA and my kat so what about it !!! by ness21 ini was brought up in "the truth", i have the odd bible study now and again, funny enough the last time was a week after 9/11, as im still subconsciously in fear of armageddon, but i haven fundamental problems with some of their teaching, hence my joy at finding this site.
i also used to think armageddon was coming at the sight of the smallest storm.
has anybody found what they think is "the truth" since coming away?.

Near death experiences,what do they mean?

anyway there was a resent disscusion of this phenonema on the telly.now i'm not concerning myself here with is there life after death but with this point, when people have near death experiences they are measured to be brain dead, no activity can be measured in the brain, yet many report seeing what was happening to them or voices and visions.if this is true then consciousness is continuing while the brain is inactive.this is not sleep , where the brain is active , but the brain is to all intents and purposes dead.
if, and i say if this is true, then consciousness is not solely linked to brain activity.that would have major implecations as to the nature of consciousness.where exactly doeas our consciousness reside?is the brain just a means for it to recieve information and in fact consciousness does not exist there but works throught it instead.this does not have to mean we have an imortal soul etc, but for example,maybe hidden dimentions in space could be the source of our consciousness,or someting else, not just the world we are aware of.

NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES -- is just that Near death NOT totally dead the brain is still working--my daughter has had a couple she shared with me...I will have her share with you if you so choose...she has what is called prophetic dreams as well--ask an active JW and of course they would say she is demonized but then as a kid my mom and I was labeled as being demonized and bad association to boot--I just say LISA / I and Mamie kitty are just unique in my opinion...(((HUGS)))) queenie
