Who shuns you?
by Dawn inafter reading a number of posts it sounds like most of you have been shunned even by your immediate family members (parents, brothers, sisters)after you were df'd.. i am shunned by my sister-in-law - but she's it out of the entire family.
my uncle, brothers, mother, and father (an elder before he passed away) all continued to associate with me - we even go out to dinners together.. so here's my question - is my family the minority?
i thought that only non-family members had to shun you but family was ok as long as they don't discuss spiritual issues.

I have relatives that are JWs but could care less whether they shunn us or not....ME-daughter and kitty are tight however..Actually them shunning me allows me quiet time to consentrate on more important things / get housework done / run errands, etc..Heck guys e--mail us at [email protected] I will not shunn anyone that is dissassociated -- I prefer being apostate myself ONE DAY AT A TIME / and when money is involved who shunns anyone especially x-wife's??? One of my Elders was a Flasher.
by sleepy ini don't know whether its good to spread stories regarding individual cases of perverts in the congregation.. but this case shows to me that you just can not tell very easily who is likely to be a pervert or not , even if are elders in the congregation.. this particular elder was very prominent in our area and was a regular pioneer for some time.i belive he also served on the hospital liaison committe.. one day it just appears in the local newspaper "****** has been charged with flashing in a public park" i believe young girls were the victims , though i cant remmeber.. it was only when this appeared in the newspaper that he confessed his crime to the elders, well he couldn't hide it now could he?.
even though he had been caught and charged and then taken to court , a process that most have teken many months , he had not confessed and continued serving as an elder and on the hospital team.. no one could believe he could actually do this , yet he admited his guilt in court.. just goes to show , that in this so called clean organistaion there could be many more covering up their crimes.. (in my area also two brothers were covicted with rape and jailed).
so if anyone thinks that in general jehovahs witness are better than normal people, well i know a flasher and two rapists, there are plenty of "good" associations in gods organisation.

by QUEENIE ini was going to keep this a secret but i just could not...those very touching gifts you got us on u hawwian vacation are sooo very very pretty...we are not use to getting such things from men / black eye / a fat lip and body bruses yep that is quite usual...i am still teary eyed from emotion randy (good emotion) i am so very serious that i want the entire cyber world to know what a dear you are especially to the likes of us and giving us a good memory to remember as well..if this is gossip then i am guilty as charged and the moderator can figure out my punishment...i am still lookinng at my pretty gift from a very loving man !!!!
