I called in to a local radio station to give an opinon

it was on the topic of controlling religions ( not the jw topic but another religion) and i mentioned hassans books, and twisted scriptures, suggesting all should be required reading for all teens, but as soon as i mentioned the jw i was cut off, edited that part out by that delay.

odd.

do they really have that much power so that there is no critisizim on a talk radio show that i know is not bothered by contraversy.

if you had a miraculous, unexplained escape from death..

plus you were not baptised but grew up in a jw family, stopped attending or studying for 30 years then attempted to go back for a couple years.

the attempt had serious negative effects on your marriage, and personality, so you decided to stop all studies etc, for the time being ( over a year).

but with the full intention to return later and be baptised.. this miraculous, unexplained escape from death was discovered to have occured during this time of complete detachment from studies etc.. what would you feel explained this escape?

A video for kids ( and adults) about conformity/non-conformity

when i was a kid i absolutly loved the video "the point" and bought the musical album (neilsson)and loved that as well.

the theme of that cartoon video and even the album is all about living in the land of absolute conformity in the land of point with no concieved choice but to conform.

it is about a little ( round headed) kids journy through the pointless forest ( he was banished after a trial for not having a point) and finally the end of the story ( it really comes out in the middle with the rock man) that you don't have to have a point to have a point.. now that is a video with great music that i think helps kids recognise the pointlessness of absolulte conformity.. maybe its just my love for the story and music but i think it is a great teaching story as well.. it's on you tube in great resolution in entirety with both ringo starr narrating and also one with dustin hoffman.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjfkteuba_s.

just what is the purpose for it?

i can get to all the stuff without an account except with the account i can look up meeting times of a local congo, or conventions, and donate to the wtbts.

that seems to be it.in fact, once signed in that is all that is available and have to go back to being logged out to get anything else on the site.. what gives?

A concern about google.com and this site

i noticed when clicking a post, or even a topic, a box shows up at the bottom of the screen telling me it is waiting on, or redirecting to, google.com, then it says waiting on google anaylitics, then finally the page appears.

i recognize google is having issues today and is very slow.

my question is this.

...you can remember as a kid having to stand by the tv set in a certian spot, sometimes holding the antenna to get better reception.. yes, i was an antenna sometimes.

i study your postings to keep myself prepared for my husband's eventual spoon feedings of the wt doctrines.

luckily i haven't had to deal with that for months now.

but it is inevitible, and your thought provoking, very detailed postings are priceless to me.. i understaand if you are busy, but i wanted to extend a thank you for all that you have done so far.

i am wonderiing about your thoughts, and did you read, recognise, anything that disturbed you, familiariaties.

did you notice them?.
