  Why is the New World Translation inaccurate/not reliable?

  Ephesians 6:4 was changed and this verse in the NWT reflects blatant mind control. It uses the words "mental regulating"

  Do you think the WTS is about to change the doctrine about 1914? If so, what are the signs that is under way?

  what the title says.

  do you think the wts doctrine that says that christ was made king in 1914 is about to change?

  if you think that's being orchestrated and prepared, do you see signs of that already?

  Why would they need to change anything having to do with 1914? They have the overlapping generation doctrine which covers them. They should be able to keep 1914 for decades, right?

  It would be an even bigger problem for WTS if the number of partakers kept decreasing every year because by now the number would be very low and then they would have to explain why the end hasn't come.

  Hey, I was just wondering. I read something from an apologist that said part of the reason for the increase is that they have documented apostates coming to the memorial and partaking. Could that be the reason for the increase? But would they really include that person in the numbers when reporting? Also, I personally don't think that WTS is lying about the figures since the numbers are going up. Mistakes are possible though. Thoughts?

  i am pleased to announce that candace conti, and her key lawyers rick simons and kelly kraetsch are planning a youtube video to answer any questions that people in our community may have regarding the recent conti v watchtower lawsuit.

  i have offered to coordinate the gathering of these questions, and i thought it might be fun to do it in a "competition" style jwn thread, with the best answers being chosen by kelly, rick and candace to be addressed in the video.. as you can imagine, there are some provisos to this.... this is an active lawsuit, so for obvious legal reasons kelly, rick and candace will have the absolute and final decision as to which questions are answered and how much information is divulged when they are answered.we need the answers in the next 7 days, so the "cut off" for this competition is exactly 7 days from the time this thread goes live on jwn.we kindly request that all questions are asked in a respectful manner without any malicious or offensive intent.

  any inappropriate questions will obviously be discarded and ignored.

  Approximately how many times did the abuse happen? Did you ever think about telling your parents or were you too scared? Did he threaten you and tell you not to tell your parents?

  i had been studying with the jehovah's witnesses for the last couple years.

  they have been interesting study sessions and have learned quite a bit about them and their beliefs.

  much of what they teach is what i had learned through personal bible study.. growing up was normal.

  I don't understand how in this day and age (meaning the internet age with access to so much information) any adult can be seriously contemplating believing in and joining this religion. My family was duped into it in 1980 but there was no internet back then so they didn't know anything other than what was told to them by the JW's and their literature and they became indoctrinated. I just can't fathom that this is still happening today. Really?
