  If it's a rant, it's a good rant. It is hard for white folks to understand the oppression that the black folks suffered and still suffer. Living in Canada, on the west coast, where our thinking is very liberal and we have a large variety of races mingling quite well, it is even harder for me to truly understand. Of course education informs us but it fall short of "walking for three days in your neighbours moccasins". My family originates from northern Europe therefore white. My nephew married a black girl who originated from Africa, through the Caribbean. Lovely girl and we are proud to have her in our family.

  One man, years ago, when asked what race he was, answered, " I am a Mother Earthian". I like that and use it often to describe myself.

  i just got a job teaching in a school run by moderate muslims.

  the students are muslim and do their prayers at school and have daily quran lessons.

  my job is to teach art, english literacy and literature, and history.

  Not to be paranoid but... okay, maybe it is paranoid.

  With the governments of the west trying to fine tune their ability to detect terrorism, it is not inconceivable that at some time in the future you are approached by men in black suits wearing sunglasses and asked to report to them. You may be given specific things to look for, comments your students may make, baiting statements you may utter in class to get responses from the students etc. All of these would be filed on government data bases for their reference.

  starting over said, "...I did notice that the JW.org logo is being done in many different ways. The correct way is JW on the first line and .ORG on the second, and many are not like that with JW. on the first line. Even that van was like that."

  Everyone will have to learn to display it properly. Eventually a letter will come to the congregation BOE, directing them to ensure proper layout of the jw.org.

  Anyone not adhering to the 'direction from the faithful and discreet slave' will be classified as 'causing division' and disfellowshipped.

  He did exactly what he always did to you in the past. He said hello and walked away, but this time on Facebook. Why would you think that he had changed? He is what he is. Don't reach out to people who have treated you as 'of little value'. It's takes too much energy and life is too short.
