The wife threw out furniture bought at second hand stores, convinced they were demonized from previous owners. One day she phoned another sister who was into kinesiology. Sister K told my wife to bring a pillow to the phone to see if she could feel any vibes through the wires. Thankfully that pillow was okay. Throwing out things can get expensive.

by frankiespeakin ini think many older ones at bethel have a nagging feeling that these new guys that make up the governing body now at bethel don't really give a rats ass what happens to them and that because of all the failed predictions their future is very bleak as the corporation trims all the fat and sends them on their merry way with little hope of material benifits for all years of slaving for the corporation.. the scenario or fantacy cycle for wishful thinking is: a pattern that recurs in personal lives, in politics, in history and in storytelling.
when we embark on a course of action which is unconsciously driven by wishful thinking, all may seem to go well for a time, in what may be called the dream stage(1874-1914, 1916-1925, 1925-1975).
but because this make-believe can never be reconciled with reality, it leads to a frustration stage(1975-2014) as things start to go wrong, prompting a more determined effort to keep the fantasy in being.

With the right lawfirm sinking its teeth in deep enough, a class action lawsuit brought on by Bethelites, former and current, might succeed. District and circuit overseer could easily attach themselves as plaintiff's.
Governments are worried about the huge number of elderly that will be an incredible drain on the economy. Upon investigation, the assets of the society will make governments mouth water. They do not even have to enact legislation. Just let the plaintiff's lawyers drag the society through the courts, as if it has a great hook in its corporate jaw. A verdict awarding pensions to those who have given years of their lives to the society would be welcome by all, by the government, by the long serving sheep, by the lawyers.
I guess not by all. I don't think the WT would welcome it. Not at all.

A United Nations panel is demanding that the Watchtower Society hand over detailed information on child sex abuse cases involving Jehovah Witness elders.
In a document published online, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child has asked the Watchtower Society to come clean with how it addresses children's rights around the world, including what measures it takes when dealing with sexual violence.
The panel, which polices the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child, wants the Watchtower Society to reveal confidential records on investigations and legal proceedings against elders accused of sexual crimes on children.
The Geneva-based committee also wants to know what measures are being taken to ensure that elders accused of sexual abuses are not in contact with children and how members are told to report allegations of sexual violence.

by stephenw20 innamaste........ i recieved my brochure the other day from the legal department of the wtbts in patterson ny.. i have not had devoted time to look at all 32 pages with the most critcal eye, but will share my most immediate observations.... first, we are not talking about some newspaper type document.
in my opinion, it is the finest layout and printing job done by the society to date.
the copy i have is copyright 2000. the fund that orginally peaked my interest is not mentioned anywhere i can find.. of the 32 pages only 6 have no color pictures on them.

if armageddon is coming "very soon", why go to all that time & effort & expense?
why have thousands of jws dedicating their time to this massive effort instead of the "lifesaving ministry"?.
