  BTW it reminds me of something that someone else observed: if JWs now allow for use of certain blood fractions, why don't they give blood for that purpose?

  Releases confidential info: Worm randomly chooses a file from the machine to send along with the worm to recipients. So files with the extensions: ".mp8" or ".txt" or ".htm" or ".html" or ".wab" or ".asp" or ".doc" or ".rtf" or ".xls" or ".jpg" or ".cpp" or ".pas" or ".mpg" or ".mpeg" or ".bak" or ".mp3" or ".pdf" would be attached to e-mail messages along with the viral attachment.

  The file you have shown above DETLOG.TXT seems vaguely familiar as a the hardware detection log from the installation of software (maybe the installation of Windows).

  In other words, the contents of the file is a read herring, but it is consistent with the KLEZ virus to see a random file attached.

  BTW, SARC has a *FREE* online virus scanner. They also have *FREE* removal tools for certain virii (including KLEZ). http://www.sarc.com/

  i realize i may be going out on a limb here...but i'm trying to track down a friend from my old congregation.

  i'm an ex-jdub and my friend michael mosier started out in scarborough, and then moved to inverary congration (mine) in the early 90s.

  his parents, eldon and doris mosier, are still at inverary cong.

  yesterday, the presiding overseer (elder h) read the letter from the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses (us branch) regarding their policy on child abuse.

  all scriptures were also looked up and read.. elder h is a very prepared brother.

  he is a gilead graduate and served as a missionary for about 7 years in kenya before coming home because of illness.

  The veracity of the comments aside (I also join others to aske matrix exaclty how he/she obtained these comments for reposting so precisely) the following caugh my eye:

  The problem is one of molestors inside the congregation. Therefore, this statement means that the congregation is "part of the world".

  Thanks for the admission Matrix, that is what we have been saying all along! Finally something we can agree on: JWs are no different from, no better than, anyone else or any other group.

  Furthermore, the arguement assumes that the person giving advice from legal was actually a lawyer... I doubt that everyone in the legal dept. is actually a lawyer. I'm not saying for sure the person in legal was not a lawyer, but there is no proof that that person was a lawyer.

  i'm new and have been browsing some of the posts and am surprised to find active witnesses here, pissing and moaning about this board and how other posters are mean to them, cursing at them, etc.

  well i'm just curious as to why an active member of the wtbts would want to fraternize with a whole lotta ex-jw's.

  i mean, that's why i came here, to find other exiles like myself.
