I'm feeling so conflicted over this.
On the one hand, I want to see the end of this dangerous high-control group. (Yes, WT monitors, I'm talking about you!)
On the other hand, this will create "virtual" martyrs (and, as Blondie said, fulfill prophecy -- in their little world, that is; hell, the Gov Body could have a bowl movement and it would fulfill prophecy). Their delusions of persecution will actually have a small piece of truth they can magnify and stretch and use for years and years and years.
Generally I prefer to use facts and truth, rather than the force of law, to protect and free people.
I can hear the Circuit Assembly talks already: "The Russian government was acting under the influence of the {insert church here: Catholic, Orthodox, etc}. That Church, part of Babylon the Great, is angry about our preaching the Truth and rejecting the Cross and the Trinity, and angry that we have taken so many of their members, so they influenced the Russian gov't to unfair and unjust action."
Which, by the way, is how the WT describes what happened in France: WT has told JWs that France's gov't was acting on the influence of the Catholic Church. Which, if you know how strongly *SECULAR* the French gov't is, you would laugh till you cry at that conspiracy theory.
I suspect that at this moment in Brooklyn, J.R.Brown is recylcing the "France" spin documents and using his word processor to to a global search/replace: change "France" to "Russia". -

I've not spoken to my "X FILE" since she was fired from the company that we both worked at. And no, I didn't have anything to do with the firing; all I know is that her work ethic was similar to her religious tolerance ethic -- by March she had already used up an entire year's worth of sick days, personal days, and vacation days.
Of course, she blamed me and felt I had something to do with her being fired, but truth is, I was one of the last to find out.
Unfortunately, I've heard she has had two children with her new JW husband: in other words, she has done her part to create REPLACEMENT JWs. -
