Anderson's Go to Canada to Testify
by silentlambs injoe and barbara anderson will be representing silentlambs.org at the victoria boer sexual child abuse trial in toronto, canada that will begin on sept. 9th.
the andersons need a place to stay for approximately one night in toronto during the trial where barbara will be called to testify against the watchtower.
in addition, if they could find a place to stay somewhere near northern indiana or michigan, on the way from tennessee to the trial, and a place to stay when they return, it would save silentlambs motel costs.

MY SON HAD APPENDICITIS.........

I felt so privilaged to have UNrestricted prayer. after quite a few years my hubby and I would say--wait a minute didn't we always hear of someone answering the door because _they had_ just been praying. I feel more special now that we know how the GB has operated in the past and how the writing dept. takes a few quotes here and there to say just what they want to say. so special that it has caused me to do more research than I've ever done. yep I guess I did feel that way then but now ,in a whole New Light!!!!!

this raises a question.
my father was and elder who was selected as the building coordinator for the new kh in our local area about 2-3 years ago.

sorry to hear about your dad. I often think of the SHOWY DISPLAY put on by these, got to have new halls.
We had built our own house, thought we had to hire brothers for the job, being they were all in construction and we thought we could trust them the most. turns out the worldly guys were more prompt and honest. so from that we told any who wanted work done on their houses, NOT to hire brothers. sis X

Thanks for the article, I wanted to bring the attention to par 5 and that they should reread the WT 3/1/79 page 23 which states that this "faithful and discreet slave" was never inspired, never perfect. Those writings by certain members of the "slave" class that came to form the Christian part of God's Word were inspired and infallible, but that is not true of other writings since.

When did you realised that everything had changed?
by In_between_days inin life, there are certain pivotal moments when you realise that every thing has changed dramatically.
it's a breathtaking and overwhleming feeling.
you may think back to who you were on this day a year ago, compared to who you are now - the contrast is incredible.. i find change in viewpoints and thinking evolves slowly, over a long period of time, you dont know the change is taking place until one day, you realise for one stunning minute that you are everything that you never were.

for me it was the pedophile story that came out, which led my husband to silentlambs.com,which led he and I to reading Crisis of Conscience,and the Search book and this site, (not totally sure if it's this site or not) which talked about the UN scandel, things were set into motion fairly fast and we had to say goodbye. First I sent out letters to a few in the congregation letting them know how I felt about a few things so they wouldn't be so shell shocked. I've heard them say before this about worldly people and now I can say it to them, "They just don't get it"

What did you do with all of your old JW literature
by LyinEyes ini was wondering if any one has kept at least some of the books from the borg.
i have kept a few, mainly so i can have a good laugh now and then, and highlighting all the double talk.. what did you do with all your jw publications??
did you throw them away?.

Fall is coming. will use some to start fires in our fire pit outside, some for reference, and others my children will cut the pictures out of for class projects.
