I remember an elder who is now is his 60's talking about, that years and I mean years ago they had them. not sure but I'm guessing , they disbanded over to much hanky panky going on, or nit picking, or maybe they felt a better witness could be given if amongst wordlings. ?? but to not give credit for all those years, how disappointing.

Witness only schools
by freedom96 inwhen i was growing up, there was a "school" in the area, that catered only to witness children.
there was probably about 60 students, mostly elementary school, but there were a few that were from high school.
i had a friend that went for a while, and i got to visit a few times.. the teaching was barely enough, and consisted of two or three classrooms.

What really irritates you?

grumby impatient people standing in line at the checkout, especially older people , what on earth is their rush.
people who don't put little ones in a car seat. Once at a school I saw a mom just lay the baby on the seat next to her. I had to call the sherriff on that one.
idiots that pull out in front of you and then don't even get up to the speed limit.
oh jim --- I'm not going to carry $200 to the grocery store and find out it rings up to $207. a check covers it all. cash seems to disappear for me.

Back in / out of the hospital
by Amazing ina week ago thursday, i realized i was developing an upper respatory problem, likely bhronchitis, or maybe pneumoina.
i have suffered with this and asthma all my life since i was 2 years old.
however, after my heart attack in may, i dreaded this happening, as the reduced oxygen can mess up an already weak heart.

glad to hear you are on the mend. one more suggestion: that is for everybody, to visit your dentist, to get those pearly whites, white again. AS teeny tiny micro bacteria can filter down to the heart and lung and can cause problems in those organs. IMA

Congregation get-togethers
by freedom96 indid your hall ever organize times for the congregation to do activities?.
about every 6-9 months, mine would have a congregation picnic.
people would bring food, and we would play a softball game.

any gatherings we were at, they were just as clique as they were at the hall, talking to people they would normally talk to anyway. our sons hated the food, it was always the same, spicy, mushy stuff. the last one we were at, the middle son made foos-ball a contact sport and chipped his front tooth. being it was also made up of a lot of people related to one another, we got invited to fewer and fewer of them. No Tears Here.

Christmas Card Drive
by Beans inas the season is upon us and we will get busier and busier let us take the time to send a christmas card to our local kingdom halls, yes sisters and brothers add them to your card list.
lets let all the witnesses know that they are in our hearts at this wonderful time of year and wish them all that they were with us and that we hope that one day they will be!.

I have new neighbors
by wasasister inthe nice lady living next door to me lost her husband last year and finally decided to move in with relatives.
although we only had a nodding acquaintance, i was sorry to see her go.
the "for sale" sign did not stay up long.

Kid 1st Halloween..too much like door to door
by LyinEyes inok , we got the little ones all ready to go trick or treating right...... they freaked the first couple of doors, scared to death to say anything to the people at the door.
i was laughing so hard because they must have thought it was like the scarey days of going door to door in the ministry.
after another house , we decide to go to the carnival in town and see what was going on there.

TR it's twice a year. april and december
I started out by looking everything up and studying. later hubby looked them up on the computer and I would fill in the blanks or write below the questions, then copy them on to a seperate paper at the hall. My sons never got the privilage of having a KM so on occasion they would just stay home.

i can understand the fading away thing if other family members are still in, but I don't understand why all are so afraid of what earthly man ( elders ) can do to them. I think they're numbers would be a lot lower if people weren't so chicken. IMA
