I did something really stupid.... :(

hey,.

ok, i need all the advice i can get...... last week i told my sister (she is jw, as is my entire family) that i did something stupid.

i had just broken up with my boyfriend because he was cheating on me.... and in some kind of drunk-revenge-mood i slept with his best friend..... .

I agree.........deny, deny, deny. It is none of their business. Don't meet with them either because if you are not strong, they will break you down and you will regret it forever after.

And believe me.......don't ever think for a minute that you can trust a family member, whether they are inactive, DF'd, DA'd, or just someone you feel you can trust. I made the same mistake and admitted something to my brother in law who was DF'd at the time and it came back to bite me. He got reinstated within a year and told me I either had to go and tell the elders what I had done or he would. It was awful.

HERE'S WHAT JW ELDERS DO TO LITTLE GIRLS

they question her, in private, all alone with her.... then the questioning keeps breaking down the little girl, so she crys, and they watch, making her describe every detail of the sex act......while she crys..... they want more exact details of where here tounge was............. while she crys....... then they go to a room for 5 min and come back and tell her she doesn't have 2 witnesses, and that she should just keep quite about the matter.. and if she says anything about the matter at all, she will be punished........."then"... she has to go "home" and face "daddy" the "petophile"...... daddy is kind of mad.... do you get the picture yet????????????????????????????????????.

meanwhile daddy is asked to give a part on the assembly.. and little girl has learned to not tell-on daddy........ever again, or she might "die".

I can somewhat attest to that. I was called into a judicial committee once when I was about 18 because I was being forced to tell about having committed fornication. I had confessed this to my brother-in-law because I thought I might be pregnant and didn't know what to do. I felt safe confiding in him because he was DF'd himself at that time. Well, then about 6 months later he got reinstated and was at an assembly where the point was brought up that if you knew something about someone else and didn't make it public, then you would be held responsible too. So he came to me and said that either you tell or I will. So I had to tell the elders who then formed a judicial committee. I was asked to describe in detail everything single thing that I had done, over and over and over again. I was so humiliated by the time it was over, I wanted to die. I told my parents and my dad was very angry that they had wanted so many details and he told my uncle who was the presiding overseer that he thought it was wrong. He got counseled on following the elder's lead and that he shouldn't say any more about it. So I definitely believe all that stuff goes on. Anyone who doesn't has their head stuck in the sand!
