  The fact that the writer of Ezekiel, speaks of Daniel as if he is known by all the nation of Israel, in the same league as Noah and Job.
  Yet Daniel at that time was still very young and not attained to that level of fame, and there must have been many daniels that had lived and showed Faith.
  They would also have had no writings about this daniel only perhaps a few reports.
  Ezekiel, acccording to chronologists, was written long before all the events of daniel's famous acts of faith took place.
  I remember preparing for a talk in the ministry school, my bible reading covered this portion of the bible.I remember being puzzled over it, and I wrote my first letter to the Watchtower on the subject. The reply was simply that daniel must have attained to some fame at that time and they advised me to get help from the elders, which was funny, because I was one at the time.Of course they had no real answers.
  I know you are trying to find some evidence that the book of Daniel was written long after the prophecies written in it took place.What I am illustrating, is the fact that the so called chronology of the bible writers is all mixed up, and you cannot be sure of anything when it comes to things like this.
  At the end of the day, those that accept these prophecies, do it in faith. I believe it is faith in man, but thats just my oponion.

  I am not sure if the dating of the book of Ezekiel is in dispute or not.

  Ezekiel 14:14 And if these three men proved to be in the midst of it, Noah,DANIEL and Job, they themselves because of their rightiousness would deliver there souls, is the utterance of sovereign lord Jehovah.
  If you compare the Time when Ezekiel and Daniel were supposed to have been written, then you get a discrepency here.
  Question: Could Daniel have achieved such fame and his fame been recorded, to be up there with the likes of Noah, and job, at that time of writing?
  Daniel was but a boy at this time, at the most 20yrs old.To be recorded in the book of Ezekiel and Daniel to be presented to that nation as a spiritual giant, so to speak is streaching credibility a bit far.

  that you not only had pleased god but you were obediant to the faithfull and discreet slave class.. that you thought that you belonged to a wonderfull organisation and you would do anything to show your loyalty, even if it meant death?.

  It is interesting Billygoat, that you have been out 11yrs and still involved in discussions like this.I know there are many posters to this board who have been posting on JW topics for many years.
  Many have benefited from reading their posts, including myself.
  Those years have obviously left an indellable mark on our consciousness.
  I believe the psychological bond we had, when we were with the (Borg)
  now seeks a home with those of us, who find themselves outside the Borg Org.
  In other words, that cultlike interdependency is still with us.

  Am I crazy or what!

  most of you are are aware that i sent out a letter to friends and family exposing the organizations association with the un.. since that time there have been several very important developments including wtbs dissacociating themselves from the un.. because of this i felt i had to get this new information out to everyone i had writen the origional letter to.. i sent this update to out of town friends and family.i encluded a copy of the un letter announcing wt's dissacociation and the two guardian articles.. my plan met with a problem.i knew my local po had warned everyone not to read anything else from me.i knew he would do this so i even sent him a letter along with the rest to show that i stand behind what i wrote and i'm not afraid of him.. today i did the only thing i could think of,i wrote a new letter to the po.. here it is,.

  dear po 10-16-01. circumstances have changed since my last letter to you and others.. i am honor bound to update you and them of these changes.

  im sure that youve told everyone not to open anything from me so thats why i am writing to you only.. the information i sent earlier was accurate and true at the time but as i stated earlier things have changed.. enclosed please find an official copy of the october 11th 2001 letter announcing the termination of the wtbs association with the united nations.

  Like you I have written letters to local elders in the past.
  I did it in the hope that I might strike a cord with some of them.
  Chances are that it will, but they will never admit it.
  Stealth is correct,it may put some burden of conscience on them.Who knows, it may eventualy lead to questions in their own minds.

  It is sometimes dificult to read a post and get the true sense of it, without knowing much about the writer.
  I am deeply sorry to read about your daughter.
