8A Question for All JWs to Ponder
by radar inif the governing body are spirit directed, why do they need to vote on issues pertaining to faith?.
if 12 governing body members vote, and say 5 vote in favour of one understanding but 7 vote in favour of the opposite.. does this mean that the 5 who were not of the majorityv, did not have jehovah's spirit on the matter?.
is the majority rule, the right one, the spirit directed one?.

The Watchtower's answer to any problem

of all the shepherding calls that i know of, and no matter what the problem the flock may have encountered, essentially the same advice was given.
most elders have neither the experience or understanding or right to judge personal matters such as marital concerns or child abuse.

Its time for me to Leave

my son keeps taunting me saying are you on that jo bo site again.
it is true, i have spent too much time here, staring into the computer screen waiting for a revelation or something to catch my interest or imagination.. when i think about all that time and all those years spent as a watchtower slave, well it does leave you empty and with time on your hands dont it?.

The Kingdom Ministry and Jehovah's Witnesses
by radar inwhat is the purpose of the kingdom ministry?.
the 1995 october 15th watchtower stated that the parable of the sheep and the goats will be fulfilled some time after the great tribulation.. up till that time jws were led to believe they were engaged in a separating work in fulfilment of that sheep and goats parable.
but from 1995 on, the watchtowers increasing new light shifted the emphasis from a separating to a preparatory work.. this leads to questions : what is the purpose of their kingdom ministry and in what way does it prepare people?.

bible says that the truth about the torture stake is foolishness to those who are going to perish.. but is not childlike acceptance of religious ideas dangerous?.

Can you believe a revelation?
by radar inthe authority, god, the creator,the lord,yahweh, el, adonai, the king, the father, the almighty - those were all names he gave himself.. he was never the creator.
he was an angel-the first and true angel, the most powerful, but he was formed of dust as we are, and dust is only a name for what happens when matter begins to understand itself, and dust is formed.. the first angels condensed out of dust, and the authority was first of all.
he told those who came after him that he had created them, but it was a lie.. one of those who came later was wiser than he was, and she found the truth, so he banished her.. .

Ministry Moments
by radar indo any of you remember an awake once entitled " pornography why resist it?.
well i placed no end of those magazines.
even getting a few sniggers from the householders.. my "ministry partner" pointed out, that perhaps i was putting the wrong message across, that my emphasis was in the wrong place.. when i read the title page.. i would say "pornography why resist it?

it is still not on the list even today.. and do you know why?
