  the wts has gone off the rails and is "unrepentantly" hateful.

  they are blatantly requiring mothers and fathers to disown/hate their own children that they have loved and cared for since birth simply because they don't comply with the orgs demands.

  Your posting has touched me deeply and my heart goes out to you and your wife.

  I dearly hope we will live to see those seven psychopaths being brought to justice.

  At some stage there must be a point when they cross the final line and cause a clear and public outcry reaching the ears of people influential enough to put an end to this and get those lunatics locked up!

  Joe134cd this may be where the rabbit hole runs deeper. There must be other ppl pulling the strings. A friend recently assumed that they may just be marionettes. I also wonder whether they are really true believers.. or if they are just running some kind of show. R. Franz wrote about the way they make decisions over policies and how their articles are being written. It didn't sound like it is really about encouraging and "leading" their followers but more like it is about personal power.

  Will we ever know the answers? It's really interesting reading all your opinions. Keep 'em coming :-)

  Funny stories how u got caught while secretly smoking

  hey folks.

  to those of you who were secrely smoking while being a jw how did your cover get blown?

  do you have any funny stories to share even if at that time they may not have been funny at all due to impending consequences.

  so here an update on my current situation, in a nutshell i've been trying to quietly fade for the past 5 months.. well, my mom somehow found out that i am currently fading and that i live with my boyfriend (for more info on this check my previous posts) i told her yes i live with him and yes i no longer want to be a jw.

  anyways, yesterday she met my boyfriend.. awkward.

  and after lunch she pulled me aside to tell me that the po came up to her (he was part of my jc when i was reproved) he said to her "someone came to me and said - i cannot say who so they will remain anonymous- but that your daughter is living with someone" my mom confirmed and apparently he told her that i have one week to confess this, and if i don't my parents are obligated to tell them everything.. what kind of nonsense is that?

  About the lying that you are married. Tell them you got married abroad in your husbands original country and are still in the process of registering your marriage in the usa. Fake the foreign cert.

  How presumptuous of them to claim they are appointed by Jehovah backed up by muddy bible prophecies.

  I never fully understood those "prophecies" and after reading your excellent presentation i can see just how outrageous their claims are

  For a while i had my car insured under my elder dads name.. i had been smoking for a couple of months when while driving i was speeding.a little (+~ 12km/h too fast) when a hidden speed camera went off. BOOM

  It took a lovely picture of me pulling on my cigarette that was posted to my dad. Lol

  There was no denying as he had a clear proof of me smoking in his hands. Lol

  Help needed: transgender people and other unclear topics

  first of all, i am not quite sure whether this is the right place to ask my questions.

  if this is not really appropriate, please tell me in advance, but i really did not know who to turn to, so i thought why not ask the internet... now, i know many of you are apostates and i'm not really looking for "leave it all behind you" answers, but really for experiences, thoughts and ideas... as well as maybe some verses if you can think of any.. anyway, first things first.

  since this is very anonymous and i'd like to keep it that way, i will not give you my name, but still, i think some background info might be helpful.

  I highly recommend you reading a book called "crisis of conscience" written by ray franz. You can download it as pdf for free from the net. Just google it.

  If you still want to get baptized after input from this book feel free to. At least you will know a lot of background of the org after reading through the book.
