List of "pagan" things JW's allow

what i'm looking for specifically is things that are "pagan" in the sense they predate christianity (or i guess judiasm to cover the ole mosaic code), that jw's allow or do.

the ones that come to mind are below.. rings - rings seem to originate in egypt.

for wedding ceremonies it became a symbol of "ownership" in rome.. pinatas - looks like possibly it originated in china as a part of the new year and a request for luck, and catholics later turned it into a beating of temptation type thing.. anything else?.

cats are unclean animals. Some unclean practices indulged in by cats include coughing up furballs, licking inappropriate body areas, urinating on the floor, eating dead animals with their blood, sexual misconduct without the benefit of marriage, abuse of catnip, and stealing food from the table, just to name a few. Uncleanness is one of the “works of the flesh” condemned by the apostle Paul. The Bible clearly shows that “neither fornicators …or thieves will not inherit the Kingdom.” In addition Paul admonishes us to “quit mixing in company” with such unclean ones.

Origins of ISIS

so somebody asked me what the origins of isis were and after doing some research this is what i came up with.

but as the identity of these groups really overlaps it's hard to know where one stops and another begins.

can somebody fact check me please?.

The interesting bit is that when syrian people started peaceful protests on the streets assad claimed theyd be terrorists while in reality at that stage it was ordinary syrians marching and protesting against the oppressive assad dictatorship. At the same time asad released notorious real terrorists from prisons especially sednaya prison. He created a self fullfilling prophecy. The real terrorists started to establish themselves and assad started bombing cities claiming to target terrorists. In fact he bombed cities where there never has been any isis presence. Same to russia. I dont claim that Assad created isis. I see a great deal in polarizing "spiritually weak ones" from the side of the GB. Just recently they brought out this brochure calling on inactive to return to Jehovah and now those same ones they are supposed to be shunned?

The GB are desperate frantically trying everything to stop the "damage" to the cult the internet does. Changing between warm and fuzzy rhetoric to full out calling out to shun inactive ones.

This reminds me of an abusive mentally ill parent swinging between lovebombing their child and next day abusing it beating and hurting it.

The GB must be put on Lithium meds

what sort of reactions have you gotten when talking to other jw when telling them the "truth about the truth"?

its funny ive read some stories on here about how they have become so infuriated by what logic dictates as being true and their own denying of it because it completely screws up their belief and shows how hypocritical it is xd some look like a nuclear reactor about to blow xd.

My mom instantly let me know that she's refusing to listen to anything "discouraging" starting her tape of "without-Jehovah-i'd-be-dead-by-now". When I said that i wasn't on a mission to drag her down she would tell me that there's no way to do so. she is sooo indoctrinated

i don't really engage in doctrinal discussions about jw's anymore.

they seem to say some pretty crazy stuff.

but i have read some threads discussing doctrinal changes and how watchtower is really out of ideas and money at the same time.

To remain faithful, will we be willing to experience material loss? Will we be ready to do whatever is required of us to prove our loyalty to Jehovah?

This sounds almost like the GB is going to make a call out to all Borg worshippers to hand over their assets to the Borg, selling property, cars, life insurance, etc

Anyone else has got this feeling?

The sheeple are being told to be loyal no matter what even if instructions may not seem reasonable from a human standpoint!??

All this reminds me of a woman who is delusional and wants to convince her surroundings that she's really pregnant. She concentrated so much on her body trying to make out typical symptoms of pregnancy to a degree that she is falsely convinced of being pregnant. The morning sickness, the mood swings, etc

When her belly fails to develop a bump she blames it on her doctor that he miscalculated her due date.

The more time passes the more desperate she gets about her womb remaining flat. So she starts using cussions to fake a baby bump.

This is the point where the GB is at now.. more and more desperate

the wts has gone off the rails and is "unrepentantly" hateful.

they are blatantly requiring mothers and fathers to disown/hate their own children that they have loved and cared for since birth simply because they don't comply with the orgs demands.

how is this love?

Your posting has touched me deeply and my heart goes out to you and your wife.

I dearly hope we will live to see those seven psychopaths being brought to justice.

At some stage there must be a point when they cross the final line and cause a clear and public outcry reaching the ears of people influential enough to put an end to this and get those lunatics locked up!
