Our congregation will be deleted

last night was the co's visit.

prior to his part, an elder had a part on following theocratic direction.

it was about our congregation being deleted (there are 2 sharing this hall) and the people and territory being divided up to the 4 other surrounding ones.. they say it is not about numbers but about making best use of resources.

Don't form any emotional attachments- don't listen to Joe cause he is unstable when he speaks about new system, don't get too close to Mary, she needs helps at her home, So let's break up the congregation and get $500,000.00 for our legal fees that we need.

They are breaking congregations up for safety sake at this point -- scrambling peoples heads when they have to start over -- people don't like this, especially women....ever feel out of place?? Its happening now all over the place with these congregation moves.

This event is taking place all over Canada - from the west coast of B.C to the Maritime Provinces as far as Newfoundland;; 4,000 miles wide as the U.S.. to give you an understanding as to how wide this country is. Hundreds of halls - going, going, gone. and they are being so loving and kind for doing it....(sarcastic)

Convention 2019: Children told don't form emotional attachment to pets!

i have just heard from a visitor to the jehovah's witnesses convention for 2019, that they have been told; 'not to form an emotional attachment to their pets, as animals don't have feelings anyway'.. well, that should break a few children hearts!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🥴 😭 💔.

Can I say this is just a crock! Who are these people anyway? If you have a belief system based on scripture, then its almost automatic… these animals were to be shown respect as creations of God...they are always preaching about having animals at peace in the " new system" bear, lion, snake, -- this is just weird that they will get into someones mind about this and for me, when this is mentioned, I am going to laugh and see what the reaction is around me....

Look into an animals eyes and see the "wisdom" they have,, they do cost money -- food, medical- but they are worth it in so many ways- police, disability, pal, friend, protector... the list goes on

kingdom halls

this weeks meeting features a video about maintaining kingdom halls.

it mentions a few times, how kh belong to jehovah, and are dedicated to him.. anybody ever wondered, if they belong to jehovah, how come, they are being sold all the time?

can you give something to jehovah and then take it back?

ITs a buildup to sell off.... same thing in our meeting.. I could have screamed -- they are gathering the troops to keep a location viable until a buyer comes along. Ours is up for deletion and few know about it.. no signage -- they do it privately- and I was wondering the same thing, --they opened with a song that dedicated our halls to Jehovah... schmaltzy song, emotional.. did the video and a talk with the hall co Ordinator as to what was done in recent hall spruce up - electrical, visual, outside, inside...

Read the monthly expense report and now we wait for the shoe to drop. They may keep the cong, intact just to receive their monthly forever mortgage and donations... and still say there is a congregation to be included in the annual numbers...

Oh well, if they divide the cong to two other halls that are 30 -45 min away... bye bye… the winter weather here is awful and not up to driving let alone any blizzards or flooding that happens along the way....

it has been at least 2 years since i posted, and for the most part, i believe, i left this site on a happy note.

i had moved on from the drama and confusion that transitioning out of being a jw and into the world meant.

i was building a happy life with my children.

Reading your update, one can see how hard you worked at becoming your own person. It does take so much more than the usual person to achieve what you have accomplished when leaving a strict controlling environment..and where you are at this time in your life- reflection can be a good thing now and then... if you loved the Bible before, it will come back to you, only in a more vibrant way... seeing things clearer, not laden down with human intervention.

For years, they said they were prophets… that has diminished however, it has been replaced by Jehovah directed them! The GB, who had not come into prominence in early their years, with a small gb.. has set themselves up as being the only ones to receive this special inspiration. ( Yet Jackson, at the ARC said that it would be presumptuous to think they are the only ones). Unfortunately, to even hint this is not the case AND can get you disfellowshipped, let alone mention the many changes over the years and using the "new Light" "what was one a shadow is now clarity" garbagy gook talk.

Well, the proof is in the puddin, as they say... what exactly has come true? IF a prophet speaks in God's name and it does not come true... he is NOT a prophet of God. They have taken this position and as Mene, Mene, Tekell, Parsin translates, the GB has been found wanting.... weighed in the balance...

$2,2 billion can go out the window really quickly if world wide lawsuits take hold more and more - there have been several RC archdiocese go bankrupt and even made the parishioners pay back some of the funds determined by the courts.

That did happen in several court rulings in the US where the congregation of the halls involved had too be responsible for a portion of the settlement... CO and elders and the congs should be made aware of the severe consequences - but of course, this is only "apostates" talking...or those who are conjuring up hate against an innocent organization... what next?

Does the GB/WT now ,ever talk about 6,000 years of human history ?

in c.t.russell`s time it was supposed to have ended in the late 1880`s ,when jesus christ was supposed to have returned in 1874 ,and armageddon was to have happened in 1914 according to wt publications back then .. around about 1968/9 they amended that time frame to the year 1975 as the end of 6000 years of human history ,and they said in their publications that it would be an appropriate time for christ jesus to begin his 1000 year rule over the earth.. which would align with wt teaching that a creative day was 7,000 years long.. i think the book was "life everlasting in freedom of the sons of god " wtb&ts .

my question is : do they still talk about 6,000 of human history ?.

do they still talk about 7,000 years as a creative day ?

They use the word EON now.. no specific time frame,, at least they agree with the scientists on the time of the universe creation -- billions of years ago.

6,000-7,000 is not mentioned at all
