if you go to the official jw website and look up wt 1957 5/1 pages274-275 you will see the jw teaching.

from paragraph 5:.." paul identifies jehovah's wife as his invisible universal organization.

the mother of christ and of his joint heirs.

EIE: does this sound familiar, there was more but I cut it short? I thought the same back in 2020--scripture for the next expounding thought- ""this remnant (144,000) from 1919, has become a part of the universal organization that is God's wife..

This makes God's woman, wife, Zion - capital of Jerusalem above with 144,000.

Then we are told, Christs bride is the New Jerusalem. How can that be?. Then to top it off, these remnants will have power over mankind but non have paid the ransom as Jesus had. They did not die for the world of mankind..

Christs bride - God's woman????? Jesus marries his MOTHER?"

Have I reached this understanding correctly- the way the society has laid it out?

Just need a serious comment... I can shake my head at this one

the bible does not say that god does not want to lie, but that he cannot lie or it is impossible for god to lie.

.

so, if god cannot lie, for what purpose and why did he create creatures (satan, demons, humans) who can lie?.

someone asked me recently when did i start to have doubts as an elder about what i was teaching from the platform.. i have given it a lot of thought and i can say that it was when i was delivering a public talk about the book of hebrews.

so i paused and read it again.. i looked at the audience and said to them let's look at the cross-reference for this verse which is hebrews 12:22 and i read that verse.

after which i remember saying "and this is how the outline puts it.... " and i read from the outline verbatim.. abraham was not looking forward to an earthly kingdom hope.

Michael= Jesus = ??

Remember Michael was ONE of the archangels, Gabriel was another- apparently there were more. in Daniel - one of them tried to help Daniel based on Daniels prayer but was held up until Michael , one of the foremost princes , came to help. ( Daniel 10:13)

In Jude its noted that Michael disputed with the devil over Moses body- If Jesus was the Word, as John 1:1 states, and with Jehovah forever before the founding of the earth, why would he be called Michael, a lesser one, in the heavens?

In Revelation, John ascribes the writing to Jesus- a revelation by Jesus Christ. If so, why does he, Jesus, mention Michael and the angels fighting with the demons? Why wouldn't Jesus say "I and my angels fought against the demons?"if they were the same entity?

LITF -- I so agree with you. Hebrews chapter 11 is full of eye opening information that the org has misinformed the pubs. there is a lot to unpack and heavenly Jerusalem is one of them - ties in with Revelation and those thoughts on the kingdom.

We have been cut off from asking questions for so long, because it places us in jeopardy of being spiritually sick. Days gone by after meetings and having dinner at someone's home, the bible was always a point of discussion along with the talks. No one was adamant things were wrong - even though they were- just a good discussion. But no more - no answering outside the paragraphs, robots all,. canned answers repeated from paragraphs just read.

I know in this area they are using WhatsApp. I did not download it. Interesting we all have pins - although a friend who previously made donations by cheque got letters back with specific personal number for the donation. I do not give, so did not know about it until I was shown the letter.
