New Light on the 144,000?

someone on facebook is claiming to have reliable information that the gb is about to announce new light on the 144,000 -- that it's symbolic, not literal.. one person suggested that they will retain the two-class teaching and just change the meaning of 144,000. his idea was that the change would avoid three problems with the current teaching:.

1. embarrassment over more and more partakers at the memorial when the number should be getting less and less.. 2. embarrassment over 12 symbolic 12,000s somehow equaling a literal 144,000.. 3. solving the problem of running out of "anointed" ones who are old enough to be on the gb.. thoughts?.

With the change in the baptismal question nbr 2 - when and if indicated either by announcement or at the next assembly, would this not cause a misunderstanding of the "anointed"- if this is not a spirit anointed organization then would this not cause a huge question of exactly how one becomes "anointed"? Where is this "spiritual" enlightenment coming from? As they say they have?

Will Lawyers Eventually Usurp Absolute Control Over The JW Religion ?

i have no trouble thinking this is a distinct possibility happening at some future date .more and more the g.b.members are relying on lawyers to get them out of tight spots that the g.b.

and the fact that they need lawyers to get them out of.. gradually and by stealth with making little in-roads here and there in gaining some measure of control in modifying doctrines to keep the religion one step ahead of the law ,they eventually manipulate events whereby they can take full control over the religion and oust the remaining g.b.members as apostates or whatever and take full control over the jehovah`s witness empire for themselves .. what do you think ?.

a possibility ?.

The company has indeed been taken over, the gb2 guys are front men for those that are handling the society. The lawyers and marketing and investment firms are the movers and shakers.

the governing body did not count on this being exposed from the arial view.

according to the 1993 year book on denmark assembly hall.

At the top of the screen within the photo it says this is JW/Jesuit Congress Hall and what does that mean?

Beside the so called origins of the society via Russell - Masonry, triangle by gravesite, cross and crown, we now see the wording Jesuit? Is Denmark tied in with masonry?

Inspired, inspiration can be obtained by viewing the sky, the stars, etc. -it does not mean holy inspiration however spirit directed is another apple altogether. Indicative of a force impelling something to be created- in this instance, a belief system that is totally dominating peoples lives. Who says it is holy when real estate, money grabs, changes in long held ideas-- i.e. generation - changed 6 times to my last count along with myriads of date changes....etc. Old prophets said what was going to happen from God and it did.... society says and it does not happen so who is false....

So this wording" spirit directed" is positioned to suck in people-- people want to worship.. have good hearts for the most, want better life-- HOPE.... is what "spirit directed" is based on....yet no guarantees that it will happen

Now I see other fingers being pointed to everything the society has done if this baptism question is changed. And I doubt it will be mentioned at the assemblies... just let it go and the sheep will follow...

I would hazard a guess and say he is talking about the WTBTS being in that position. The investigations into child abuse and legal issues are causing them to think about a REAL tribulation... minutes away/ just around the corner, etc.

There is none so blind who cannot see....

Getting back to the "spirit Directed" demise some more questions arise I think.

What about the elders qualifications? Are they no longervunder spirit guidance both when chosen and current? What about the judgement calls they made over the years?

Same goes for the ms?

What about the Wt and books and brochures? Are they no longer being written nor been written under guidance of the spirit? Since most of the articles date back to early 1900's- keeping same line of thought- 1914, etc-- are these also no longer and never have been under guidance of the spirit direction?

To me this is more than just one sentence in the baptismal question. The whole perception based on spirit direction delves into many stated suggestions the WTBTS has made over the years to keep the flock sweating it out til the end.

Where does this go from here?

May 2019 Watchtower doubles down on the "Two Witness Rule" !

this is simply disturbing and infuriating!.

the may 2019 wt has defiantly and arrogantly been released by the gb, and it is full of their disgusting excuses for not complying with authorities!.

(i have seen and read all the articles, but cant work out how to upload a link here - perhaps someone can assist?).

This is really a sore spot with me.. they are still mishandling abuse cases.

In many lessons,they quote that Joseph did not have to have a law to tell him to run from Potiphars wife - he knew by his moral, internal code that it was wrong to have sex with her... - he did not have two witnesses there, he left yet the society claims just because there are a few lines dealing with adult situations, that there has to be two witnesses... Child abuse is not a theme in the bible, yet the nations were abusing their children, history shows that, and God said, do not do as the nations, do not sacrifice your children to false gods.... wasn't that a criteria??? Kids are to be protected......in every way...

How does this compute that child abuse needs two witnesses? It is the internal moral person that knows it is wrong. Two witness rule should not even enter the picture if an organization wants to be clean and moral about such a heinous crime... Children, put their faith in adults to do right -- pubs hand their kids over to "strangers" just because they are baptized and mostly hold a position because...….they are "spiritually appointed"- which spirit is now in question. (see Question 2 change on the organization baptism question)

This upcoming mag is a wash job... to soothe the conscience of those who truly want to believe these things are being handled properly...they are not!

My question;; who really are the wicked?
