  John 13:35 Mistranslated?

  disclaimer!

  i am not a bible translator not do i speak ancient greek or hebrew.. john 13: 35 nwt : 'by this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves '.. (curiously, this verse is not listed in the nwt index under the word 'disciples'.).

  the biblehub interlinear reads : ' by this will know all that to me disciples you are if love you have among yourselves '.. could it actually mean, contrary to all bible translations, that it is jesus himself, and not people in general, who identifies his disciples because they show love among each other?.

  It is true that you can go anywhere and be love bombed and helped initially.

  But that fades and quickly. I ( and a crew) personally have helped families to move, set up homes of new ones in area, cleaned when someone was sick, made meals, driven sick ones to hospital for treatment.... even helped shingle roofs, so I am versed in all that however, during the past 20 years or so, that has taken a drastic turn when we have become older and not able to help as much, there seems to be a lack of young ones to take over. Let alone, sign up as ms or elders. If you need to move something now, hire a truck, pay for it. Get groceries picked up, make dr appts when you can get there.... it has all changed and I don't see it ever coming back.

  Why disfellowship must be eliminated for the survival of the WT itself

  this topic i digress about why the watchtower relaxing the rules of disfellowship is essential for its survival.

  many things i'm going to say are not my ideas, some are, the point is, i'm condensing everything in a logical and concise way.. the first thing we have to keep in mind is that the wt's main objective in instituting disfellowship has always been not to lose members because of the damage that a dissident could do, or to avoid gaining new members because of the bad reputation of a confessed sinner in the his/her region.

  in the end, the more active members, the more money to the coffers.. in this case of disfellowship due to apostasy, to avoid any spark, texts were sought out of context that even prohibited saying "hi".

  Pennsylvania is a wide open any religion child abuse situation- they allow marriages at age 14 I believe it is. What is that but child abuse done legally? Old men/ young girls sick! And they call it a spiritual marriage.

  No elders in this area driving new cars or flaunting wealth. Most are hold cleaning jobs, very few pension jobs, never heard of that.

  was there pressure from outside?

  were there any financial or other benefits to promoting experimental genetic therapy?.

  Isn't Henrietta Riley something to do with the WT and has been for years??? That explains the necessity as to why 8 million witnesses were told to get covid shots. Wonder if the shares of the company went up? and the shareholders were paid in blood money.... many died and so many are now showing symptoms of other health issues caused by the vaccines- not only JW's. Liver, heart, cancer, chronic fatigue symptoms that mimic CF. Long haul covid and on and on..

  i was watching a video about wt and money and the "brother" refers to the "spirit directed organization.

  " he also says they use donations wisely and modestly.

  are the gb so deluded and therefore their followers?

  Everything was always done through/by/ the holy spirit...right? Well, in all their wisdom, they ignore the holy spirits importance when asking question 2 at the baptism talk. That was it for me.

  While the scripture says baptize in the name of the father, son AND holy spirit, that has been changed to father, son and Jehovahs organization... so now that questions everything they have stated in the past and in the future, even one's baptism status. By throwing the wording "holy spirit" out, they have no business ever mentioning that they are guided by that same holy spirit. That calls into question their relevance as an organization. That calls into question any articles, any guidance, any "new light", an anointing by holy spirit for their elders, ms, co, COBE, governing body appointments.

  How my awakening began.

  about a month ago i started having a clear out of old clothes, books and bric a brac etc….. i don’t know what came over me but i decided to chuck out all my old jw literature because we literally have no more room.

  it started with magazines, then books, ministry literature and once i started, couldn’t stop.

  weird right?

  Speaking of cleaning, I am doing the same, torn front pages out of the books with our names on them and checked throughout so garbage would not know where they are coming from, burned mags and now am looking at the mound of printed off pages with the New Light crap plus , plus, on them and getting ready to burn.

  No listening to meetings, no going to meetings, no service, no donations. Feels so good after all these years. I did however, keep some of my collected bibles I obtained - not WTBS- just cause I like to read once in awhile.

  Doing a lo key fade - but it still feels good.
