  Did your witness family have a 'Thanksgiving' that wasn't on Thanksgiving?

  my family had several elders, ministerial servants, auxillary pioneers etc, so it certainly wasn't one of those 'barely in' families.

  but in certain small ways, i think mine were slightly less hard line than some other families i've heard stories about over the years.

  one example was the 'fall dinner'.

  Thoughts on annual meeting “new light”

  so, i finally saw the annual meeting video part 2.. this is the one with the “new light” on who might survive armageddon, vs. those who do not.. in summary, for those of you fortunate enough not to have to sit through it, it’s something like this:.

  old light: once the “great tribulation” starts, that’s it for non-jws.

  the “door of the ark” is closed.

  To bring this back on the board should be good information for those who faith has dwindled because of those at Bethel making it up as they go. This annual meeting recap shows just how much the org is grabbing at straws to keep operating and bringing in the money. There is no such thing as new light - the holy spirit does not change its direction as it is from God- new light makes the old obsolete along with the lives that put faith in it. I can't think or hear of a specific belief system that changes as much as jw's. The wheels are falling off the chariot.

  I 'm on a great well of pure water that is the result of 5 springs running through mother earth and when it gets to the house, it is cleansed with a .005 micro filter and a blue light that kills over 300 viruses and bacteria- still have a tooth to get filled monday

  the watchtower conflates two different groups into one fictional church-age group that according to the watchtower, are saved by works and faith/membership in the jehovah witness organization.

  according to watchtower, only the now mostly dead 144k receive the promises of god regarding justification .

  everbody else missed the boat and must work for their justification for a thousand years.

  i recently came across exodus 22:29, which is an interesting scripture that seems to require israelites to sacrifice their firstborn to god.. i searched this forum and cant seem to find any topic about it so i thought id start one and see what you guys think.

  im sure it probably has been discussed here already, but i cant find it.. anyway, exodus 22:29 says:.

  My take - futile to say who will be the winner. Trump wishes to clean house for the benefit of the billionaires, and as we know, cleaning house is not always the way to go, much upheaval, uproot hundreds of years of law and constitution, and for what? He is 78 - leaves it to JD? Kamala will keep as is and things in the land will stay the same, which too, is not good. However, she will create a nest, like women do to comfort the kids, keep them secure. It's still all futile - what did Solomon say? This too is futile Ecc 3:19 and 1 Cor 3:20

  I believe (me) that the other sheep were peoples of the nations, not jws who could not partake of the emblems. That is why even Jerimiah was a prophet to the nations way back when. As was Paul and many others. That s why Jesus stayed with the Samaritans for three days telling the gal at the well that he had the living water and she recognized him (the Jewish loathed the Samaritans).
