i keep hearing that the watchtower org is going to be around forever because of the many other religions that have been around a long time.
but i disagree because the wt is not like other religious cults.. the watchtower's breath of life is dependent on the last days that started in 1914. .
you can’t change 1914 without a death blow to the entire organization.. the watchtower's 2nd reason for staying alive, is it's continual urging that the life saving preaching work of warning people is the most important work ever.. but- it's very obvious to many, even the old ones that instead of speeding up the work------the work is slowing down to a drip.. comment by former believer; .

That is a valid point. I worked for a failing company once. It should have gone broke 5 years before it did. The writing was on the wall. The only reason it drug out so long was because management was still getting a paycheck and surprisingly performance bonuses.
in case you haven't heard, they just discovered the remains of some 215 dead children at a so called canadian residential school.
they couldn't call it a death-camp could they ... it would be too obvious.. these were where indigenous children were taken, forcibly, in order to "educate" them out of their native customs and languages and make them integrate with society.. unbelievably, this was still going on in the 60s to 90s.. of course the catholic church has their sticky fingers all over it.

Even the white kids hated going to the catholic boarding schools. The nuns were very abusive to the kids that went there. Many of them remained good Catholics and won’t talk bad of the church.
Hopefully this will give some the courage to speak up about how badly they were treated by the church as kids.

The timeline makes sense. The KKK was big in Saskatchewan in the 1920’s. Their target were Eastern European immigrants. Bohunks they would call them. I know a few personally that had anglicized their last names to be able to get jobs in the city.

George Naish I think his name is. He was kinda a folk hero in the Saskatoon area. He would visit our congregation from time to time and give talks. I’m not sure if he was in bethel or?
